  • Newegg.com,FedEx, and "Incremental Weather"

So, if anyone has ever ordered large quantities of anything , or heavy items in general, when it comes to shipping cost's, you know that the cost can get quite expensive really quick.

I am usually fine with UPS garunteed 3day delivery , but this time I was thinking I will treat myself and go with a 2day delivery. Also reflecting that the last time I ordered through newegg and chose 3day UPS, my order arrived 2days over my 3day shipping choice.

Now that I have paid a premium cost for premium shipping (2day fedex,$275-300) I am finding out some homo-ass weather has created shipping delays & now that I have not recieved the expected services for the high cost I paid, it's time for some one to make it fucking right , and I'm liking the idea of differential of 3day FedEx vs 2day FedEx cost's, which means re-running my order nearly to completion and viewing the shipping options, which im sure is around 150-250 dollars of extra shipping cost that im gunning for credit on Newegg.

FedEx's problem , but they really dont offer dick in the way of reimbursement, except a few free lb's of same-shipping for free, im gonna assume.

Here's to hoping I get a newegg support person that understands how much anguish these large corporations have caused me,and agree's I need a free shopping spree.

Obv, you don't buy things online often, or pay for above-average shipping. I personally don't tolerate cheap shipping. Cheap (insert) isn't good, and good (insert) isn't cheap.

(insert) = anything can be applied to this concept.

Cheap work isn't good, good work isn't cheap.
      Cheap computers aren't good,good computers aren't cheap.

On top of that, I ordered a shit load of hardware...which obv I rounded the shipping cost's up.

repair parts for 3 computer (heatsinks, psu's,memory modules) , and
built an entire gaming rig. My shipments came from 3 different locations , California,New Jeresy, and TN. Did I explain things enough for you? Newb

ya seriously, wtf. $300 for shipping? all that stuff together has got to weigh like 10-20 lbs max. that is way too much.

btw - it sounds like you don't even know if it will be late or not yet. i doubt inclimate weather will affect your package witch will probably go from LAX to ATL then to you.

FedEx is retardedly expensive on Newegg. If thier shipping rates are the same everywhere else, I wonder how they can still be in business... should have stuck with the brownshirts.

You ordered stuff right before a big snow storm, akin to the one we just had. FedEx can't magic the storm away, or all the snow and ice that comes with it. It's going to slow your shipping down just as well as pressing the brake pedal on your car slows it down. I wouldn' expect reimbursement. Why should FedEx reimburse for shipping costs because there was a big snow storm? FedEx doesn't control the weather, so they shouldn't have to pay.

You really should have stuck with their 3day, its a deal to begin with, plus like you said it usually arrives early. You just need patience

Well I dont know where you are located but shipping delays wouldnt surprise me as there is a huge storm crossing the eastern seaboard up to southern ontario and across.
I guess you just need to find out if there is anything saying "if there is a big snowstorm, fuck yourself we arent giving you money back."

For starters, my shipping cost was 207.xx , it would have been 300ish~ BUT rather than ship a 45POUND all in one office style color-laser printer, I forgot we opt'd to get a slightly different/older version at Office Max.....which dropped my shipping price to the 207.and change

When it comes to buisness, money is the bottom line.
Investing money into any venture , you go into an agreement that always reads something like this ; Service Provider and Service Reciever

When someone pays for a particular service they are to expect that service,I do not care why I didn't recieve the services I paid for, just what the fuck will be done about it. If I was a god damned meteorologist I would have known that my investment would have been thwarted by mother nature, but since I'm not one,I'll settle for getting reimbursement.

That's one of the dumbest arguments I have ever heard. As stated before, FedEx doesn't control the weather, they have no obligation to reimburse you because some clouds came by and shit ice and snow on everything.

Dumbest arguement in the world? In the real world, as I said before, if I wanted to buy a bunch of excuses I could have hired my 11y/o and 14y/o kids, they are great at the excuse game haha.

But since I didnt invest in excuses....winter storm or not , my shit is getting delivered today. All of my hardware is currently hanging out with QuadRaptor in Mobile,AL , which is 1hr 15min away.

Patience? HA, thats a good one Ef3ss Fly in the winter? Nope. Havent you seen that movie La Bamba, the Riche Valens story? haha
