Thank you for the response.
If I was to reply to my own thread,
(baker might get that reference):
Q1. I don't think there is room for equal imagery. I think the majority of people are still too hung up on 'what team they are on' to be able to appreciate any other imagery. IMO, that is unfortunate. If it wasn't for the stigma of labels, everyone could appreciate everyone for what they are.
Q2. I don't think there is a difference between gae and str8. Although there are stereotypes that are associated with each orientation... Everybody is of the same cosmic material that make us human... What does set the orientation apart is stigma from past years of cultural influence and social agenda.
When it really comes down to it, we are just "sexual"... that is an indiscriminate concept.
I hate answering the question when people ask: "Are you gae or str8?" You're answer could make you "bi" or "gae" by default if your answer is anything other than "str8".
In my mind, if I had a loveless life, and I have proclaimed myself str8... I would consider the possibility of a male companion if I could find love there. There is such thing as str8-gae men, who lead a limited or non-flamboyent life, with all the qualities and securities of a str8 man. The time in this life is finite... Choosing sides is ridiculous, you're only cheating yourself out of something that is of the highest value in life.
