Set your router to ignore ping requests. Most newer routers can do this. That should make your router loses absolutely no bandwidth from ping requests.

Trying to DoS attack with pings shouldn't do anything, anyway. Most commercial routers between you and them (ISPs) throw pings on the bottom of the heap for networking priority. That's why you get a lot of packet loss when pinging and significantly less for everything else - the WAN doesn't give a shit if you get your ping back. In the video, it's likely the only reason the site would "go down for a few seconds" is because he's blowing all his own bandwidth and can't refresh the page whilst everybody else can do it just fine.

This is exactly what i was thinking and it led me to believe, "why the fuck" would he do this all day, and give up his own speed". Although it seems he doesnt have much else to do... I was playing against someone today at Speaknow, ill keep his name under wraps for now, but he told me its possible kimp sits there, watches the server from an external source , and pings it up the ass... Seems he has time to do all sorts of shit, i believe that he would too... but, fuck... im feelin the LAAAAAG... ill get a new isp, and be done with this problem, the router is with my landlord in his part of the house, he is a shy chinese guy, that laughs everytime i say "whats up" ill bet he would be scared shitless and think i want to blow up the house if i asked him to unplug his router/ethernet cable for like 2 mins... I need total control over my router, this shit wont work... its just WAY too coincidental that my router konked out at the same time kimp and i were on speak at like 10pm or so on the 29th... i avoid him usually at all costs, this time i said "fuck it" i wanted to play.. and thats when all this shit started..HAHA In one moment... like 15 mins into gameplay, i didnt want to speak to him since i got there, and he prolly went crazy... expected
