((in my internet exile, I have finally come up with some damn good ideas for this story. Well, damn good in my opinion. However, since it is more or less an RPG, all those ideas might go flying out the window based on what you, the players, decide to make Ray do. hopefully soon I can continue this))

When we last left our heroes, they had just finished taking apart the entrance slipgate at E3M1, "Termination Central" which, according to your intel officer, Lieutenant Hastings, and your CO, General Navajar, was a primary hub for weapons storage/shipping/recieving/developement before the First War. They tell you that there should be an early Thunderbolt prototype and, if you can find it, they can update its tech to work like the finished model (the one you're used to). This will be a great advantage to you in your fight against the light-shunning Shadows.
You, Ray, Captain in the United States Marine Corps, Spec Ops Ranger squad; your Tech Sergeant Fenmore "Phoenix" Stockton; your loyal pet Fiend, Darkscythe; and your unexpected-but-welcome devoted servant, the Death Knight Commander, have decided that your current mission is to disassemble all functioning slipgates in the realm of Quake, save for one. Doing this will prevent the Shadows from further perverting human technology, which...theoratically, could allow them their own personal entry back to your dimension, Earth, where they can and probably will wreak all sorts of havoc the likes of which have never been seen before. You have the skill, more so than any other ten soldiers combined. You have the experience, more so than several platoons of soldiers combined. You have the knowledge, and what you don't know, Phoenix likely does. So...lets do dis.

You see a left turn up ahead.
You smell fresh blood. Fresh...?
You hear faint shuffling in the far distance.
You feel cold...the power is off. This dimension is pretty chilly when there isn't a crapton of lava just laying around.
You don't taste anything.
> move away from the teleporter towards the hallway and rape the solider waiting to kill me
"Caution, Lord Captain. Darkscythe smells enemies ahead...a lot of them. We should prepare for the worst."
