yes it should be legal on state and federal levels, i think it would help balance the economy some, also it would prevent people from smoking that potpourri crap that is killing people.

People become slaves to booze all the time. How much pain and anguish has that caused the world? Make it legal, regulate it, have some control over it instead of drug dealers who will abuse the power people will give over to them. It happens all the time all over the world ; but only in nations holding a war on drugs.
Marijuana is comparable to coffee not crack cocaine ....you can get very much addicted to caffine ...if drug dealers had coffee instead of marijuana as that thing your not supposed to have does anyone really think things would be so different.

I think this is mostly attributed to the fact that lots of stoners or ex-stoners think they are king shit of TOLERANCE mountain, and figure its the same,when in reality its many times more potent. Potpourri/Herbal Incense/Spice is a blackmarket-created substance thats sold right out in front in public, because of marijuana's illegality, they take natural herbs and spray them with RC's and meet the demand with a alternative supply.


This trend will not end either, it's already proven to be a way to make insane amounts of money. MrsMindz and I knew one of these guy's who was making spice,and it bought a Hummer,a Ferarri,two stupid Reverse 3 wheeler motorcycles, 2 homes, and endless other shit.

For every demand someone will attempt to meet it with supply, your arguing a long time known fact. Even politicians do this shit, they listen to what people are most concerned about, then try to meet their demands with a supply of mostly bullshit promises.

Supply -> always meets in the middle <-Demand

What worries me about its legalization is the commercialization. While nicotine is a chemically and psychologically addictive drug, cannabis is primarily psychological but in some people the pull can be even greater. What would stop a big tobacco company from combining the two to make something with the addiction qualities of marijuana and tobacco combined? Topped with the chemical ****tails they use already?

Not to mention, as a nation we don't do well with mind altering substances and use them as an excuse for unacceptable behavior. how often have you seen (or in some cases been) the guy who said "im sorry, i was drunk, i didnt know any better". I guess that's an issue of the bad apple spoiling the bunch.

In short, if its going to be legalized I think it should be done over a long gradual period only allowing legal possession, consumption and growth but not on-the-shelf marketing. Thus preventing corporate goons from creating a monster.

Taxation of it simply wouldn't go far enough to impact our economic debt either. Remember its up into the trillions. that's thousands of billions of dollars. Even big tobacco in its heyday couldn't make a dent. I say keep the gov't and business out of it, let it grow, let it smoke, and stop busting people for it unless they choose to do irresponsible things while under the influence.

I've tried weed, and I don't see it being worse than cigarettes or alcohol. One definitely shouldn't drive high, tolerant of it or not, but I'd rather have a stoner behind the wheel than an alcoholic. I've also tried harder things, and even though weed can eventually become addictive, it's not much compared to the others.

I agree the govt can save a ton of money by taxing it and releasing all those incarcerated. It's in our privately-owned jail companies interests to keep it illegal. The currently untaxed demand is there, and it will be met by criminals or by legal companies... but I repeat myself.
