In an infinite universe even Little Green Men must exist.

They found a planet around Alpha Centauri too, which, more than anything else, brings a certain Fred Pohl story to mind... no cutting off toes, now.

I would like to add a point to this discussion...

I believe in the existence of aliens, but I do not think that aliens have visited Earth yet. Some people mentioned it earlier; Earth is too far away from alien planets. I remember hearing cases about Area 51. I believe that the US military was testing out some inventions. People found a piece of "junk" in Roswell; some people thought that it belonged to a UFO. I thought that it was just a piece that belonged to a human-made aircraft. (Or maybe it belonged to a model airplane) [Whatever it was, I do not think that it was invented by an alien.]

Totally possible. Because Earth didn't exist in the beginning, and there is a real chance that our lineage of biological beings owes to a possible hitchhiker that smashed into the earth long ago and "set life in motion" , so that would technically make us aliens (presuming Earth was once baron/worthless/dead and "Life" showed up to this planet from elsewhere)

somewhere in the universe, a gigantic *BEEP* is skeeting all over the universe and planting vital seeds of life.

Not only do I believe we are not alone,I believe the cosmos is teeming with fresh meat.I wonder what it tastes like mmmmmmmm.
Yea I dont even think we are the only race in our solar system or for that matter on this planet.Remember it was only in the 1950's that we found the gorilla. Now imagine if someone more advanced than us did not want to be found eh?Have a look outside your little pink houses, there's things all around you spelling a much different story than what we were all taught in school. Now go back to your comfy little bed and chock all everyone for thousands of years has spoken of as fantasy and go back to sleep, nothing to see here move along..

I believe they are real. How else would we know what they look like(in movies, Halloween mask, figurines, etc.) Also back in the 80's or some shit, didn't someone who work at area 51 run his mouth about what they were doing? Then "disappeared" shortly after? hehe.

You mean stupid white americans / europeans re-discovered gorillas in the 50s, I'm pretty sure man encountered them thousands of years ago. Maybe hundreds of thousands of years.

Humans have this habit of forgetting everything they know every 200 years. I hear lots of people aren't even able to start a fire and prepare food anymore without help.

Lots of people can't remember what all the trees in the forest are called, myself included. 100 years from now, someone will rediscover oaks and it will be all the rage for a while.

Exaggerate much lol? I understand your point of thinking , but I am pretty sure a better example would have been the Rome Aqueducts from nearly 2000 years ago.

I'm pretty sure we won't be forgetting how to tell the fn difference between a Red Oak and a White Oak tree, or tell it apart from a fn Pine tree,or a Dogwood Tree,or an Apple Tree, ETC ETC. You'd be suprised at what us stupid white american's know about things that don't relate to a video game.

I yearn for the day that prejudice doesn't exist, so when it shows back up we can rediscover what a dick looks likes.

Why do they gotta be white? They could not be yellow, purple, green, black or blue? maybe brown, pink, red, orange or teal? I mean common, why do you have to say "stupid white americans/europeans". Damn stupid "golden boys" always being racist!!!

You gotta admit he has a point though. We do have an awful tendency to see things filtered through the lenses of our western culture, and sometimes take the perspective that if our culture hasn't discovered/is unaware of something, then that something doesn't exist. Meanwhile other cultures throughout the world could be well aware of it, but because we see them as backwards or otherwise primitive we tend to ignore their awareness.

The mention of the Roman aqueducts above is a great example of another point here, which is that the ancient dudes were capable of quite a lot more than we frequently give them credit for, and accomplished many feats of engineering that we either are still unable to reproduce (or only relatively recently became able to reproduce) or are able to but have no idea whatsoever how they did it.

I guess that "stupid white Americans/Europeans" in that context could be seen as a form of shorthand for "our western culture that isn't actually as advanced and enlightened as we sometimes like to fool ourselves into thinking it is".

Now, how does he know there were not blacks, or spanish, or even muslim people involved with the "founding of gorilla's" in the 1950's? Just poking at the white's as being stupid. That's the way i read it.

I'm a bit surprised that you come swinging a racism bat against me. I meant it exactly like MH said, but I think your attack comes far out of left field and hence I'm not going to enter that discussion. I'm sorry if I somehow pressed your button.

If you want to intentionally misunderstand what I wrote, it's not my problem.

Apparently it's OK in this community to troll and sling insults left and right, but once you say "stupid whites" even if you're white yourself, it's a deadly sin...

how about some common sense before you unleash the dogs on someone.

LOL, i wasnt swinging, im just stating, the way i read it was you poked the stupid bat in your hand at the whites.. I would have defended it if it were any other race as well.

Everyone takes thing's differently, and i took it that way as the way i read it.

I'm sure had you have mentioned "stupid black", Phenom would have been all over your ass like flies on shit. So therefore what would you have done then?.. Exactly.
