Visible light is THz, this stick does up to 2.x GHz.

Actually apart from the initial driver installation and rerouting the audio being a hassle, the software situation on Windows is much better.

I doubt you could ever use this on an iphone. It works on Android of course (the most prominent app seems to violate the GPL though).

Acquire and maybe feed AIS and ADS-B data (see Live Ships Map - AIS - Vessel Traffic and Positions , Flightradar24.com - Live flight tracker! ). Some people use their for radio astronomy. Others are working on GPS receivers. Also of course there are amateur radio folk.

Nice,Take it one step further and use for identification by sound print and map every enemy position in the sea by type.Hell if you can get the exact frequency of emission from the target another carrier wave can be beamed onto the target and by subtracting the known product it could be used as a long distance eves dropping program capable of sniffing all sound from the victim.

Yes that is indeed an awsome bargain but you need to be a linux user to take advantage of it.An since I am,I thank You Spirit !!!
The alternative to get this same functionality costs thousands of dollars and is very hard to come by these days as everything is converted to digital and the frequencies sold off to cell and data use.
Can you imagine this small usb stick plugged into an iphone capturing a 2GB spread spectrum swath as a cheap ELP recorder?
I am interested in combining this tech with digital camera tech.I would like to increase the ability of a camera to take advantage of the upper spectrum of UV the way we have been able to use the lower IR swath.Combined with IR and UV and add this wide spectrum frequency capture to it would be the shit.
And undoubtedly illegal as all getout.

I was wrong there is a windows version too !
The use case is a server/client tcp ap listening on 430 ghz...WOW !!
He goes through a huge amount of effort to map it out and decrypt it but all i would be interested in doing would be to physically listen and record to analog then play the recording out of a speaker to get a ghost to communicate in near realtime. I am not interested in hacking the NSA transmissions.

This device will do that off the shelf but not at the huge range of sensitivity,pretty much just FM

Seems obvious most Ghosts won't bother with just any joker who thinks himself an authority either.I find it a bit humorous a scientist thinks he should be able to make one act on command like pavlov's dog to believe.

I don't believe in ghosts, but I also know that I have no idea what the definite truth is. Supposedly, ghosts are dead humans that refuse to "go to the light" when they die. In a world of "follow God or burn for all of eternity", I just don't believe you are given those kinds of options (go to the light/or don't).

Remember the movie Ghost. You die and they come get your ass. I believe that makes more sense. I believe heaven and hell (especially hell) would like to claim their property post haste. Of course, this is just an opinion and I have no more clue than anyone reading this as to the absolute existence of anything sentient and invisible.

On the other hand, if by some chance there are ghosts, there must be an entire ghost government and citizenry as well. A ghost population would still be a population and no sizable population can maintain without a governing body. That being said, how many have been forced into the light? I believe it is safe to assume that only those that know they aren't going to heaven avoid the light. So the light is probably some form of punishment for "crimes against the state".

If there really is a light and ghosts and a government, what is to stop someone from taking control over the light and forcing everyone to stay, heaven or not? Maybe that's even a reverse punishment "Oh, hey there you bible reading mother fucker, you wont be going to heaven today!" Meaning there are 2 classes of citizens, the lost and the saved. The saved resent the lost and withhold a proper death from them, maybe treat them as slaves, while the "upper" lost resent them all and only throw those into the light which are sure to die, to satisfy some sick urge to get even with god. Maybe it is even possible to corrupt the saved and destroy their chance of entering heaven.

If there was a light and choices and I was the devil - nobody would be going to the light til I was positive you were going to hell. I'm just a man. Imagine the crap the devil has already done with anything which is possible that I have said.

It matters very little whether you believe in them because,
THEY BELIEVE IN YOU.
If you are a religious person you should make the observation that Jesus was in fact the first EXORCIST.As well as A ghost himself.
If you are an atheist with your beliefs firmly planted in physics then you know the conservation of energy says that information and energy CAN NOT be destroyed.So in either scenario Science and religion both agree the soul is eternal.
Never mind all the thousands of documented cases of credible folks
having encountered them,Are they all hallucinating?
