We don't need drama. let's keep things simple and civilized.

Please for this coming Sunday, no more "between 8 to 10:00".. concrete times.. if we say a match is at 8 everyone be there for that match at exactly 8.. People can OBS freely it is good for the game.. I understand Rambo's frustration.. people have schedules to work around and it is inconvenient when the match time is changed ahead an hour or two.. so please stick to the schedule.. if Jbone does not appear this coming Sunday he is out.. he is the most inactive when it comes to knowing whether he's going to show up or not.. we don't need question marks at this point.. just active people who are willing to play.. people like armorattak show up weekly and he deserves to be in this tournament

If Muller gets added to Bosh's team, CD and I get totally shafted.. the teams were created evenly so everyone has a chance to win it.. that's going to tip the balance heavily by having a 1A and 1B in Bosh/Muller..

You saw last night how a team like Rook/Disco/Lun can beat down on my team because their 2 other players are better.. and it made the games extremely competitive..

I was also unhappy with the fact that on Capturephobolis.. the team that chose map also chose color.. Blue has a distinct advantage in quick capping because Red is constantly having to go up (which is much slower) to cap.. capping for the blue side consists of dropping down in the back or dropping down in the front.. they chose the map and got the blue side (on some maps the color doesn't matter since the map is symmetrical but maps like Elder and Capturephob being a certain color can make a difference in winning or losing).. there were other major reasons within our team that we lost but if maps like Capturephob or Elder are chosen.. I think the other team should get to choose color

Glad you understand Rampage. This tournament is a absolute abortion. The "we will play between 8pm & 1am" is f**king bullshit. I sometimes have nights I can dedicate to quake but that is not always the case. There should be a schedule and if your team doesnt show, you either forfeit or play without that person. As far as teams are concerned, some supposed "A players" whined about their teams. This should of been done like either you or mono suggested previously: get a list of players, break them into a b c categories, and basically pick at random out of a hat so to say. Pick 1 name from a, 1 from b, and 1 from c, thats your team. You dont like it..dont play. Also who plays who first round should be drawn at random, in the same out of the hat fashion. Way too many people dictated how this tourney should go, who plays who and whos on what team. And just in case you didnt see my other 2 post...IM SORRY..I had plans with people that dont give a shit about what quake is. I was expecting to be done at 9:30pm est not 11:45pm.

Also part of me resigning from the tourney is due t the negativity aimed at me last night. If people can keep their jaws closed, i'd consider actually playing a SCHEDULED match in the above mentioned manner.

Rambo, read through your post again and you just might see the hypocrisy in it.

The main purposes of this tourney is to have some fun, have a little competition, and help keep ctf active. You are always raging lately. Relax a bit. I completely understand you not wanting to play last night, with having company and the game being delayed. What I don't understand is why are you raging so hard over it.

You can't put players into three distinct categories and draw from them either. The players in each group vary too widely inside those groups. I actually think the teams turned out fairly well.

Ramp, my intent is to move muller to bsh's team and remove bah from the tourney. Nothing against bsh at all, because he's a good dude and a great player, but he even freely admits he has no clue whether he will show up, or not.

Teams need to simply communicate on times better. Whether it be email, or exchanging phone numbers (not sure if I endorse phone numbers, crow is constantly requesting face time on my iPhone now).

Every tournament in the last decade has been total crap and thrown out the window.. officials leaving.. people being disconnected/flooded.. and the tournament gets pushed aside inevitably

It's not easy to satisfy the needs of everyone since Quake is an old game and everyone here is a working piece of the tournament's cohesion.. if people quit or don't show up, then this won't work..

So far the event has been above average.. the matches have been fun, the turn out has been good (people coming and watching the matches)..

The only thing we all have to do is stay on top of it, we keep one match time (first match at 8, second match follows).. we'll get this thing wrapped up within a few weeks and see how the event went..

I ask everyone here to weed out who ever is inactive / not participating and replace them with people who have been patiently waiting to have their name called (eg. Jbone for Armorattak)

Apology accepted of course, and you know I'll team with you any time, but if you're out, it's better that you're out now than further down the road. And, c'mon, you must know there is no time to find out whether a demand that people should be nice to you or else is going to be met. Well, actually, I can guarantee that it won't be and that nothing's gonna change inside an online game in that regard in the next month. So if you don't like the shit-talking, or whatever it may be, which I hope you'll agree is mostly laughable anyway coming from a gaggle of anonymous quake nerds, just stay out.

I do understand your frustrations from last night in being pressured to play several hours after we were supposed to, plus being high on crack, etc.

So if you've got that titanium jock strap for your testicles - great. Let's play.

But in or out, just be 100% either way, for the love of god.
