Woah, you need to order MLB network and watch some games. The submarine pitch isn't overhand either and it's definitely a valid pitch.

also frenzy a more unified ctf website would be nice like what we were talking about. also a place to have valid file downloads, both pak and seperate maps for people. some install instructions and of course tourney info.

QuakeOne.com hosts: 2011 Q1CTF Tournament. AKA CTF March Madness!



Tournament Dates: March 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th.

Rankings and Winners will be placed on the front page at the end of the tournament. Stats possibly as well.


To be determined: 2v2 or 3v3. This will depend on player turn out. I think we will need to 2v2 though unless we get 18+ people that want to play.


This tournament will be the BEST of 3 and double elimination style. Each team picks one map and a tie breaker map will be decided on before the matches begin. Everyone gets a second chance if they have a bad showing or a missing player.

The teams will be picked randomly, 1 A player, 1 B player. A = very experienced/skilled ctf. B = medium or less.

IF a team is missing a player come sunday night you can replace them with a substitute as long as they arent already a tournament player. Eliminated players cant substitute either. I know this is harsh but it is required to keep the tournament flowing smoothly so stay on your teamate for showing up. Also if you are missing a player you can still choose to play 2v1, you never know, you might pull out the game of your life.


Why March 6th? Nothing in Quake moves fast these days. That gives us a few weeks to plan it and gives everyone enough notice.

Things we will need:
Site support with the final postings on the front page.
Mono/Frenzy's presence every sunday OR another admin. We have to have 1 admin present, not only for moderating but for a credible witness or mediator.
Video support - Matches im not playing in, i will record 3 different angles.
PLAYERS!! - We need all the players we can get, the more the better.
