Ok. Got it textured and compiled. Seems to be working ok and I included minimal lighting. Mostly torches. Dunno who I should be passing this to but I'll just leave the download here for whomever wants to take a look and see if we can use this or not. I had fun making it regardless. Also brush work isn't my thing so if you see anything that can be easily fixed please do! Cheers!
Oh that is a replacement sky I use for DP. It replaces the purple sky. I textured it the purple sky because I thought that was what talisa and Adam did. But yeah the screenshot gives a different impression.
just did some edits. nothing big, just small adjustments
when walking around in-game i noticed my platforms were pretty huge cuz i didnt keep an eye on scale.
so i downsized them to half the size and added a couple to fill in the inevitable gap the downsized of platforms created
also tried to incorporate the cool gem-like parts from adam and added a slipgate plate to the top platform to make it look more like the start of a map
and lastly i worked on making the top platform look a bit nicer by adding pointy parts to the bottom of it
as i said, nothing big but just some small ideas and adjustments really
have been very busy all day so didnt get much time to work on the map
Are we still working on this? I heard MG got maybe upset and has dropped out of making the map? Is this incorrect information? Did he already send in his contribution? Has this halted? Just getting clarification. I hope it's still going because this is a great idea.

One of the last thing's i remember him talking about was leaving this community and moving on to another forum of some sort. Not sure if he meant it or not but if he has chosen that path good luck to him.
Mapping can indeed take awhile. But considering the idea at the beginning here was to make "rooms" that join each other, there appear to be some very large structures, and areas, being built that are not exactly "rooms".
I think without more stringent rules and/or guidelines, some folks are going to get creatively carried away, as evidenced by what some people have done to others contributions (and how that has possibly offended some), and by the already mentioned scale inconsistencies. Ideally, you shouldn't know what to build for your room until the chain-map is handed to you and then you make your contribution... "fit". This "must fit" mentality is not being applied here at all, as others mappers jump ahead to get what they think is a head-start. This approach may be fun, but it does not serve the map.
I'd personally call what you are all doing more of an "improv" chain-map... just be glad there is no forced crunch time in real life for this stuff at least. Still looking forward to seeing more screens and playing the final work.
