A battle of NetQuake Europe vs. NetQuake USA.

Old skool, mano e mano 4 on 4 DM battle. Best of 3.

One on the GCHQ Europe (gchq.quake1.net) and one on an East Coast USA OFQSP server like perhaps the New Jersey server (nj1.suroot.com:26001).

A tiebreaker if needed would be determine via some factor (margin of victory?).

Polarite has told me that he already has his crew organized, he is currently thinking that Friday night would be a good night, not necessarily this Friday, but Fridays in general.

Who wants to participate in this? Polarite has said he will let us know of a time of day that works for his players.

(And why do I have a bad feeling his well disciplined cadre is gonna own us USA players, heh )

I just made that logo up. I have a no text version of it to change it to whatever.

That being said, probably what disqualifies you is being far West Coast so your ping to GCHQ would be terrible.

This also rules out the mighty Hydro (you would think)

I excell at DM than I do 1v1. I like maps where you don't always see ur opponent (opposite of RA).

Was just going to test your Jersey server (nj1.suroot.com:26001) doesnt seem to like qrack when I tried it most of us Pol me etc use Qrack, is there a way round this?

All of the Suroot CRMOD servers (OFQSP) are running in cheat-free mode, aka ProQuake cheat-free.

I can look around to see if there is an East CRMOD server not in cheat-free mode.

You won't find a single crmod server that isnt cheat-free

it was a console/server command to disable it but im not sure if it is around anymore

Ah, actually there are. But you are right, they are very hard to find.

Those ones aren't cheat-free. And GCHQ (gchq.quake1.net) and BlackHat (blackhat.quake1.net) in Europe aren't cheat-free either, nor are any of the Brazilian CRMOD servers.

To make a ProQuake server run cheat free mode, you add +pq_cheatfree 1 to the server command line, otherwise it runs in regular mode.
