Hello,

The final version of the complete run through Quake on nightmare skill - Quake done Quickest - has finally seen the light and got released. TeamSDA thinks that this movie might be entertaining for the QuakeOne forum users as well.
There are 4 types of the movie:
400p, 30 fps, 420 MB
720p, 30 fps, 687 MB
720p, 30fps with motion blur (more fluid than the pure 30 fps version but more blurry too), 687 MB
720p, 60 fps, 1326 MB

I love these movies and after I watched them I often try some of those tricks myself.

I love jump down and the grenade jump up again right afterwards to/from gold key on e1m3.

Wonder if host_framerate was altered?

I tried the E1M1 run and got my time down to 35 seconds. with only about 5 tries... I'd say about 85% of the stuff pulled off in that video is slightly beyond my skill/devotion level... I mean... he just left all those monsters standing without killing them! I like 100% complete demos but speed runs are just insane when done like this.. Though kind of defeats the purpose of playing the game...

I prefer to scoure every corner and adventure..but looks like the person/people in this speed-run already kinda know every inch of every map.

I'd like to see some "glitch demos" and no not of the actual player Glitch, that guy sucks. <3

The runs were recorded in multiple segments, every demo for every map separately. The times were pulled down this low throughout the ages by different players.

And yes, we know every inch of every map

I like 100% complete demos but speed runs are just insane when done like this.

I can tell you that the 100% complete run is in progress right now. It'll hopefully be done in a few weeks.

You're demos are awesome! though I wonder how much of that skill is convertible to actual multiplayer, it seems that speed runs are mainly about memory on where to jump,shoot,go and while thats really impressive I'd like to see one of these players in the speedrun demo reach the frag limit in 7 seconds!
