Quake done Quickest movie

Always enjoyable... makes me want to watch them all again (quake done double quick, scourge done slick, etc)

(Phenom, they made one where they did 100% kills, too... Though, the one I have is on easy diff: "Quake Done 100% Quick Lite 2")

fun to watch, its cool to see the tricks the people in those vids use to finish the levels mega-fast

although i never got the appeal of speed-runs myself.

they completely ruin the whole point of the game, which is blasting down all monsters you can find and blast everything and everyone to pieces, and the fun of finding the secrets and such.

i really dont see the appeal of running through a level in less then a minute without killing anything at all

It's also not my cup of tea but hey, who am i to judge? Everybody can do as he pleases and they get my respect for finishing the levels that fast. I could never do that.

true true, and they get my respect too for finishing them that insanely fast.

even if the idea of speedruns totally does not appeal to me they do get my respect for knowing the levels so well and being so good at using tricks to fly through the level so fast.

i totally suck at rocket and grenade-jumping myself, mostly if i try i end up flying somewhere off a cliff or kill myself before i even get close to where i intended to go

I respect the accomplishment of the fast individual.

But as for me, I don't see Quake as a racing game. I like to take my time to explore things. Then people ask me, "But what would you do if you already knew the maps?" Then I wouldn't play the game for weeks. After that time, I would miss Quake. Then I would turn on my computer and I would start everything all over again. I would explore Quake all over again.
