Maybe this will help you do it all in one program

    blender2.49
    MDL importer for blender
    NIF exporrter for blender

I haven't tested any of this. It might be exactly what you are looking for, or it might not work at all.

    Good luck,
    Gypsy

I'm glad you like the idea Tremor! I hadn't thought of making Plastic Figures, I'm more into "Backyard Foundry" stuff, ie: bronze, brass, copper, aluminum, zamak, and silver. It's a lot of fun. I'll think about plastic casting, it requires other materials and tools that I'm not familiar with; it depends on how much a following I can get. Thanks for the awesome recommendation!

I'll give that a shot Gypsy! Thank you for helping out! Someday... I may stop driving myself crazy about esoteric things in Quake and actually play it... you'd likely own me, I love the game but not that good at it. Never got "Bunny Hopping" and "Rocket Jumping" down right. I'm not bad... but I'm definitely no Quake-Legend.

LOL! I don't play Quake! I decipher QC, work on new models, make maps, replace all the textures and other such things like that. I'm getting somewhere around the middle of actually being halfway decent at these things. I'm gonna keep practicing, experimenting and upgrading my skills, then I'm gonna release my own completely fucked up episode of Quake and probably never bother with Quake ever again. BUT, I will take all the stuff that I learned and gained from it and transfer it to the next level of my never ending education.

I played DM a couple of times and I got like 4 kills and 200 deaths. LOL!!! I'm the worst player on Earth!

Now you just need to do all the animation frames and make a stop motion animation out of it

I have almost all the models done now, with several skins for each model. There is a problem though... I don't have the time to include instructions and the models cutouts have not been tested. I have to move onto my next project, this one has been fun. I learned a bunch of interesting things getting it to this point...

I was going to include models from some of the expansions (Centroid, Gremlin, etc) as well, but I've run out of time. Maybe in a few months...

I will be releasing them all later today or tomorrow. If anyone wants to include (write) instructions, feel free, send me the information and I'll make sure it is included with the models. If there are flaws found with the cut-outs themselves let me know and I'll fix them. Most of them should be good to go though.

I found that like most things in Quake, the Skin Textures colours are rather heavy; making it difficult to find the Mountain and Valley fold lines... all I can say is print out the non-textured model, and when in doubt: compare and contrast.

This has been a fun project and I hope you all enjoy the work put into it.

Ug... I'm sorry I haven't posted these yet. I've been doing a LOT of work on my site. I'll be posting these sometime next month.

lol. This was a fun project; when I get it online I hope someone will enjoy them
