I had no luck adding the powerup glow from your windows source.
But on a better note I did get over 2400 fps on timerefresh without it crashing And over 1400 fps on timedemo2 with the HD content and stable all day.

Working on adding muzzle flash,but I get some strange transparency issues.
In the shadows they work fine but in the brightly lit areas they seem fullbright.
increasing the alpha channel has little effect.

Yes that is it, we will still need to do a few other things to get alsa up.
The resolution I have in mind will be 3x frame size total. So if I am succesful an image of 6000x6000 will be used from Hubble.

My ubuntu box went intoa 345 file update fpr 2 hours
Um, skyboxes are not bsp files. 6k x 6k is fN ridiculous. U need to look out your window if u want that realism, that overhead is useless.
This is a game, not the holodeck on the enterprise.
