  • Binding keys to use RUNES???

Ive been playing Rune Quake for about 6 months now and still havent got to use a Rune. Everyone says that its way more fun if you use them, so I figured I would give it a try. I tried to use the default keys to use/throw away the Runes but they are on the wrong side of the keyboard (X,Q,C) I use my mouse and the arrow keys to play...so you can see that it would be quite awkward.

Can someone please tell me how I go about making other keys my use rune, delete rune, and tell rune bind. Maybe Rune Quake wont be quite as frustrating if I can actually play with Runes and not try and play DeathMatch Quake on a Rune Quake server.

Another Question.....Ive been looking on the server list and have noticed that there is really never anyone playing Deathmatch Quake servers. Is there a server that anyone knows of that has people playing it?

    Thanks for any help.

      bind "key" "rune-use"
      bind "key" "rune-delete"

where key is the key you want to bind. examples:

      bind "p" "rune-use"
      bind "SHIFT" "rune-use"

        Don't forget ...

bind "a" +hook // much better than pressing 1 twice
bind "e" "rune-tell" // shows the rune you have

I've been wanting to font cascade since I got here. (muthafuckin snakes!)
And +hook as a gimick wears off after the first few games.
