I agree and support Baker's post. And Mindz, there's much more than just us 2 who agree with the situation. Those people just have yet to speak out in public.

As for valid point?

the KICK from bomber: yeller acts like he never knew that I was searching for cookie (which I MSNed him after he asked "you playing?") and then gets a fissy fit when I don't join the winning team.

the BAN from bomber: I'm watching the tourneys and yeller beefs at me so I beef back. After 10 minutes of cooling down, he plainly says "sorry sniper you annoy me" and I get banned. I came to watch the tourneys and he boots me because he doesn't like me. Like wtf? Sole and I bitch at eachother in game all the time but Sole is cool.

The KICK could have been a misunderstanding. But telling "you idiot!" and kicking isn't going to make me learn my lesson and come back appologizing.

The BAN was uncalled for 100%.

im betting there is more to the situation than your letting on.Were you talking in messagemode1 during the tourney?Were you being disruptive in some fashion that your neglecting to mention?I dont like a lot of people and I dont kick or ban players because they annoy me, and I highly doubt Yellow would do something like this either.The only person who deserves a immediate kickban is JJ because he's supposed to be on the permanent ban list.

I think I said something in mm1 once by mistake. Nothing else happened between yeller and I other than bickering back and forth. As I said before there was like 10 minutes of no bickering. Then the tourney match ended and then yeller and sole were going up next. Guess yeller needed to boost his moral by banning me.

I've seen yeller do irrational things before so it's no surprise to me.

I get a shitload of this and for the most part ignore it.
But when I see the exact same people on their doing the exact same thing after they's been warned maybe its time to stop handing out warning tickets. Bomber is a fun place to play, lets weed out the people who don't deserve to play there and give them the opportunity to START THEIR OWN SERVER. Why should any of the decent players be told "You don't like the people at Bomber? Start your own server." Thats not right.

The Ban needs to be a justifiable ban that sticks for more then 5 minutes. not a toy for admins to throw around.

I have to agree with phenom on this.... like this one time. Me and fuzznut_TU were fucking around like we always do.. Vis just decides to kick me. I came back and said "WTF. Why did u kick me u fucking dumbass" or something like that. People who WRONGFULLY kick/ban me does not deserve to be talked to politely. Obviously he doesnt go on bomber enough to know that i fuck with fuzznut. I got a demo of all this if anyone wishes to see it. I came back after he banned me and he said that he will ban me if he damn well feels like it.


I have never been banned/kicked by phenom for any reason what so ever. Phenom never has a problem with me fucking with fuzznut. He's always cool with me/everyone that doesnt talk shit to him or anything. I've only seen him ban vibe because he acts like hes god. The time that vibe got banned from phenom was the time that he called phenom the "n" word.

For the time I spend on quake, I prefer it to be playing quake, and doing constructive things to get more people playing, helping newbs get/setup quake, etc, not responding to forum bs. Also I've already responded to c*s and thresher's complaints, refer to that thread if you are still confused. In general, if you have an issue with rage.quakeone.com (formerly bomber.quakeone.com), please pm me directly here on quakeone. But in general, almost all the complaints so far have been from people who were warned not to do something that interferes with the game, and then proceeded to call the admin warming them names etc till they got kicked.

As I said before CA is a team game, where 1 or 2 people not cooperating ruins the game for everyone. Also, there are a few trolls like JJ who spend all their free time trying to fuck the game up. So, it is required for there to be a lot of admins around to keep it running smoothly. The admin slap feature was removed as some admins thought it was a little too funny (it was intended to be useful..). If you can’t handle participating in a team game, shmack almost always has a game…

Phenom, what is your motive for starting this thread? I spent 2 hours talking to you and vis about this on Sunday to resolve this situation, which was in fact, your fault (see above!). After that I asked you why you started your previous bitchy thread, as I thought I just spend 2 hours resolving the issue:

As for the “bomber is all about me, me me me, bomber was stolen from me”, etc, I'll be happy to revisit the issue with you. You and mindz set up bomber.ironrocket.com and ran CAx for a month or so. Then you said you got fired so you were taking the server down." About a month later, I put up ca.quakeone.com, took the now dead bomber.ironrocket.com off the main page browser, and replaced it with ca.quakeone.com. The setup was the same as you were using the maps pack I made for dm.quakeone.com. I told you this, then you said "Wait bryant agreed to cough up half the bill for bomber!" I said it's dumb to have 2 servers that are the same, not a enough players to keep them busy anyway. I proposed that you just turn over the bomber name for ca.quakeone.com and you and mindz and bryant could all have admin there. You said "great!". Now as credit or respect or whatever, the bomber you ran on ironrocket was dead for other a month before bomber.quakeone.com went up. As for why bomber.quakeone.com has been a successful server, there's 2 reasons for that. R00k has done an awesome job on CAx, making it a amazingly great mod with tons of features. And secondly, a large group of players (including you) has supported and played it, and convinced the ca+ players that ca without crippled rockets and weird physics was a good thing.

As for the new name rage.quakeone.com, no one really liked the name bomber and I had wanted to change it for a while. So with the recent me me mine silliness, it seems like as good a time as any. I'll be posting a news item about the server/mod changes when I get a chance as well.

Like I said before, if someone has an issue with the server, now called rage.quakeone.com, please report it directly to me. It is not my server, it is a community server hosted by clan hdz and run by quakeone.com. Anyone who actually PLAYS THE SERVER has a say in how it's run. If you only connect randomly to fuck around and complain about admins, well, no one cares what you think then .

Ok so I am correct. the Bomber server was bartered. The trade off was to keep the name/server running at the expense of hdz and for the two former owners to have Admin Rights there. ? Which is what I assumed after it was stated the original owner was having financial trouble.
