Yet I still beat you more easily than a hammer can beat a fresh batch of Rowntree's fruit jelly.

well its a demo of 2 people who know nothing about dm6 asin control/rocket shots/shaft ability/sounds/trapping to name the least. This is an ok demo, but theres nothing about it worth watching. I've never seen worse lg skills tbh, this is by far the most powerful weapon in q1 yet they can't utilise it at all. And since when is some1 owned when the final score is a very close 12-6?

Seeing that you are new to the site. There's been a little history between Solecord and Magnetar.

So I guess it would look pretty useless to you.

I will find you... it's only a matter of time.

                Haha yeah.

Like it's useful to me because Magnetar is a doutchebag and it's funny to see him get pwned.

i actually beat both mag and steve, but im not bragging about it... not saying steve is, but mag sometimes needs to be put in his place.

i havent watched the demos yet, were they dm? or practice mode... i will watch em when i get the time...

mag actually beat me twice consecutively with double score on dm6, then i beat him the same, then we played dm4, which i beat him horribly 24 to 3 or something, before he gave up and said we should play something else.

please note that im not a master dm-er, and i didnt know dm4 at all (neither did he), it was more like pure luck mixed with skillz.

on that map the teles play a crucial point.

my games with steve were a little different. although i did beat him by a few points, they were very close. considering i beat mag, by a larger margin, it comes as no suprize to me that steve beat mag.

and verybadloser, i dont know who u are to come in here and insult the skills of 2 reputable players.

we are runequakers, not master dm-ers and 12-6 is NOT a close score, it's a double score, close would be within a few points...

Well i can dispute your skill Paradise since apparently my first game was "luck". and you quit after about 7 minutes of the second game. now ive lost games but i've never quit them? dmm1 is lame anyways :>

well yea i repeat again, i am not a master dm-er, i know the concepts but i havent really played dm that much, so im not very good.

i thought our first match was deffinetly luck on your part, then i realized in our second match that you were timing the rl, which pissed me off because i couldnt seem to get it.

at which point u were leading 7 - 1, i was hungry, pissing on myself, and generally annoyed at your tactics. so i said F it, there

i too got beat before, much more badly by a few people in dm...

frankly if i did struggle and played you MANY times, im sure at some point i could *maybe* beat you (like i said, im not a master dm-er, i know the concepts, but i need the practice in executing them better)

if your strategy is the same, i can figure it out after a few matches and counter it, a good dm player is very unpredictable, and hard to figure out, and keeps you guessing and on your toes. but then again, im not an expert on it, so dont quote me.

but games are meant for fun in the end, and this DM-ing thing nowadays (which barely any people play anymore) is very dry, boring, hard, and generally not fun for me, so i choose not to play it (most of the time).

                          peace.

Well, verybadloser has *some* points I think. (I only watched game2.dem)

                            1. Inconsequential handling of sounds. Sole avoids jumping/rocket jumping, but at the same time picks up the double shell/nail boxes, plus players regularly use the shaft door, which are some of the most characteristic sounds in that map.

                            2. Timing is pretty far off on the RA/MH, thus no player really establishes a control zone. Timing items/map control (to the point of almost "camping" ) is typical of deathmatch, but probably less common in runequake.

                            It's funny :-)

                            Both obviously have skill though.

edit @ paradi$e: Timing weapons is what you do in DM. It's called map control. How is that boring? I mean, it requires skill. Especially in Quake1, where you don't have audio timers. In Q2, which I play regularly (dm fan here), you even have wav timers that say "megahealth in 15 seconds" and stuff!

Good map control is something to acknowledge. The other part is "take back the map." That requires even more skill.
