    Damn this looks cool, too bad im not playing quake right now. I just have no desire to play when i anit got any herb. Saving up for a damage deposit on a new place.. hopefuly i'll be fraggin soon though.

      Current Status Of The Updated CAx for Dredd

      Okay! I've finished 99% of the support code for rotating maps after match end,
      this included
      adding Quake's original intermission code into CAx
      adding a levels config file for admin customizable list of maps...
      added a votable command NEXTMAP, to switch maps before match starts
      added config commands NextMapON NextMapOff, to enable/disable the entire scheme
      now, i just need to add Baker's new strings/warp.qc code which defines the actual map name WOOT!

        Phenom told me that FatPipeServer (the host of the server, the same as chi.nailed.org used, except Dredd is in Dallas not Chicago) has updated the server to use ProQrack instead of wqpro.exe.

          The new version of CAx with map rotation capability is great. Some notes I made:

          1. Reset of a match causes intermission and map change (bad!)
          2. Players not participating in a match don't have -99 frags (would be nice if they did, they show as -99 if not colored up during team selection).
          3. Would be nice if some method to make it more obvious what team won on the scoreboard during intermission OR just prior to intermission (like if it centerprinted Red Team has won the game for a couple of seconds prior to intermission).

          Things I need to do:

          1. Remove efdm12 and any other map that is inappropriate for all game sizes from the map rotation.
          2. Re-QBSP imp1dm6 and update the server so the 2 secret teleporters aren't misused.
          3. Set the pq_spamrate to whatever value that allows unimpeded talking. (pq_spam_grace 999 and pq_spam_rate 0)

            These are all done. No more exploiting the secret teleporter on imp1dm6.

                  Two maps you may want to consider into putting in dredd's map rotation
                  * schloss (the map you saw rook pwn those bots in)
                  * rocket (zomg cyberdemon!)

                  Phenom said I should make a thread about this but I think this is only post worthy. How about changing dredd's ammo limit from 100/100/50/100 to 200/400/50/100. I like seeing the other weapons being used

                  And yes I know this is never going to happen because it's one of the main factors that people play CA, but how about an option to disable no self damage That would force people to switch to SSG more in close fire fights

                    200/400/50/100 instead of 100/100/50/100 isn't going to change anything because people don't run out of rockets and shaft too often, especially on Dredd's smaller maps. And when they do they don't run out of both nails and shells. I do agree that it would be nice to see some people to use some other weapons, but it goes against CA's nature. Better players do use other weapons like SNG, SG, and SSG when it's convenient. Being able to turn on self-damage option would be nice. However, I highly doubt any1 would want to use that.

                      I've seen rare occurrences where 1 or 2 players run out of all their ammo in a long match. But you are right and this ammo change would only make a significant impact if no self damage was disabled.

                        sometimes im afk alot ( real-life(tm) ) please private message me here or set a bonfire on your driveway with this emblem drawn in food coloring/alcholol. and i'm sure the Commissioner will send me a signal (no dont do that im kidding)..... Okay maybe the pm will be the best choice as i am here every day

                                I remember playing with you yesterday, I believe. I do not recall talking shit to you or any1 else, not yesterday or any other day. Not my style. Though Lerster did get on my nerves a little when he was camping on every map every round If I did I'd like for you to refresh my memory because I don't mind apologizing for something I did wrong.
