Why am I not surprised Quake 1 is dead?

For the "Dee Dee Dee's" out there. Kedrin Gonzales(or whoever he is) promised a 80% Remake of Quake 1 sporting DarkPlaces graphics and updated Quake to be equivalent to Doom 3 and Quake 4. Which, was never heard from by the main public ever again since he posted a video setting up a bunch of hype then not delivering anything except some Darkplaces screenshots..

wow, that's pretty sad. i downloaded video, didn't watch the whole thing, but after skipping through the whole vid i noticed something

the basic rule of reading somebody's else body langauge is - when he's speaking, if he actually is thinking about what he's talking about and trying to recall thoughts, he looks straight, or in the ground, this guys eyes however travels to the upper left for most of the time, which means he's just making up most of the things in real time. It is scientifically proved and taught at psychology/social communication studies. At my university we call this 'bullshitting factor no. 2'.

I kind of picked that up as I watched the cideo, I guess he was on so much of a roll with other things/projects he felt to share his mind on what he would like to do and mix it up with what he is going to do. Oh well, life goes on.
