As far as the whole �server competition� thing I find that these server compliment each other very nicely, both have their own unique qualities and player bases. Other than sheer entertainment value the whole issue of a competition or jockeying for players is quite pointless and should be squashed in my opinion.

I believe these people play Quake 1 simply because they are bored and do not know how to spend their time. These aren’t true Quakers at heart they just want to play a game. Cheers to them but a True Quaker frags through rain sleet snow or wind.

This singles out the group of people who don't play Quake regularly or even think about joining other servers because they aren't into Quake. They don't have the right mind set meaning they arn't True Quakers.. Taxi summed it up best by switching True up with Pro. Because if you aren't a PRO Quaker by now then you aren't a true Quaker!

If thats bashing on Rage then you are saying Rage is the only CA server that has/plays DM3. Which makes you look ignorant. I'm not trying to insult anyone here, you guys are doing a fine job without me. The interview was to promote Dredd, not Shmack, not Crmod, not IHOC, but Dredd but I don't get admins from any of those places trying to shun me for taking people's ideas and making something positive.

I didn't mention Rage a single time in the interview so WTF? Are you upset because "I didn't diss on Rage" for once? Yet some how you make it into a Rage vs Dredd thread then try and turn it around like I did it. This is full of tackiness the way some people are dealing with this interview. I'd appreciate it you got your head screwed on tightly before you make any stupid comments Like I've told other people, I'm through with the BS, that doesn't mean I'm through with whats going on it means I'm not going to sink to your level just to communicate with you. Take a step up and see how the world is when you remove your own blind hatred towards other people for petty reasons.

Next time if you don't understand something just ask instead of putting words in my mouth and I'll gladly explain it for you and you don't catch yourself up saying something you don't understand.

But this isn't me arguing with you this is me stating cold hard facts. Have a good long read at that interview because you probably stopped reading and started pissing yourself when you seen me mention DM3, and try to understand that there is no hidden message in there, its called an interview, they tend to happen when someone does something interesting and it gets publicity which is what I've been doing for Dredd just like every other server needed to be publicized before it gained popularity.

For those of you who show your support I appreciate you for it and I enjoy your company and adult way of thinking. Its not everyday we can sit down and enjoy a nice and peaceful game of Clan Arena! See you on the end of my weapon!

I think competing for players is a positive thing (although sometimes some negative stuff arises like some of this stuff lately.)

Different servers competing for players forces the server operators to treat them better and to more cater what they want to see.

Case in point, pldown was implemented in CAx and is in effect on Rage. Something Mindz and Sting had wanted for a while and something that Mindz said he was told "would never happen" (I don't know if this is true, but anyways.)

Also, it was a worse world when Rage was the only CA server. Getting banned from there was the death penalty 2 or 3 months ago, but now someone can play at Rage, Dredd, Rum and Bogo and doesn't need to be worried about being locked out of the entirety of CA by a decision made on a single server.

Not when my wife is alseep and I'm waiting for buildings to upgrade on Shadowbane. :d. Also... Who would fall in the category for people that only will play DM3? I think it's more that people would choose DM3 over any other map if its a available. That doesn't mean that they're not good at other maps but they just prefer DM3. That's how I am.. I also think a lot of old quakers are just stuck in their ways.

That's a link on Kyle Korver with his stats. On top of being able to shoot 3s he is good with free throws. His rebounding abilities rn't too bad either (not great but acceptable).

Actually........pldown is not currently set on rage. The way it works now is kind of wacky, but R00k is going to make it more useful. Then it will be on.

How is this a case in point for people being treated better due to "server competition"? Spawn limits (pldown) is going to be enabled because people tend to pile on the server at one time and it causes big chaotic games. It will also make more smaller maps playable. Spawn Limits weren't on because I thought it was stupid in ca+, but after dave and I did some testing a while ago we thought it would make the game smoother.
