    you people need to get a life and stop harrassing me about these demos, apparently somebody demo'd me cheating recently, GJ u demo'd me playing 100% legit, congrats,

    We need widespread adoption of the anti-wallhack measures LordHavoc developed in DarkPlaces server.

    I remember throwing a random corner grenade which happened to hit a player in the face at Whitehot and I cringed of out habit of what usually comes next when that happens on a server ... and then I realized that Whitehot is wallhack-proof (but I still felt the "I'm going to get accused of cheating" feeling).

    I would sure like to see the end of wallhack accusations.

    A few people cheat, most don't and there really isn't a way to know who is who for sure.

      Just to burst Skillet's bubble,but he hacks,he's told me he hacks in Pub games because he thinks there is nothing wrong with it, it will be good stuff if he denies it here. I've yet to send that demo to anyone / see anyone say that you wasnt wallhacking while observing that demo with cheats turn on or off,but its pretty obvious either way.

      Notes about Demo that arent in any particular order;
      1]Beginning of demo, shoots at non-visible evemy @ upper bridge.
      2]Shoots enemy at RA mid from floor,you cant see enemy there in demo,but Skil see's him!
      3]Tracks enemy at Mound headed to RA Tunnel,from rotunda through floor (isnt noticable without some form of hack turned on to watch demo with)
      4]Pre-Fires on enemy spawning at Backhall heading to RA,while Skil sits at RA mid.
      5]See's enemy parking at SNG boxes hidden from view,but tracks him through boxes and pre-fires before actually having enemy in sight.
      Some might argue sounds are key elements making this seem like wallhacking, but 1] and 3] cant be argue'd with sounds ,reasons are 1] there are no sounds made by enemy at upper bridge, and 3]there is a spawn sound indeed,but what told him it was the enemy and not one of his team mates?
      5]no excuse in the world could explain this shit.

      Fact is, Skil hack's, it's just a fact of life,he got busted,and now he gets all pissy when someone brings it up.Even Dingle from clan in[10]sity and -rune- admitted to cheating,but I doubt Don D even has the balls to admit outside a IRC Persnonal Message with myself,that he thinks cheating in pub games is perfectly okay,and will more than likely make things out to be that he never said such a thing,cuz he's a chump like that.

        A fun note about whitehot running a darkplaces server is that you can't peek around corners effectively using chase_active 1; which is why I allow it.

          But the problem is that the "honor system" isn't really a good way to make sure that games are reasonably clean.

          You know and I know and everyone else knows that DM3 is a "all about the corners" map.

          If the problem can be solved so this particular type of cheat is useless to anyone, that's a far better way to do it.

            Are wallhacks a toggle? Because there seems to be some times in the demo where instead of using his "wallhack" to check on something he actually has to look around the wall. For example, he jumps to check on mega at SNG, if he was wallhacking, wouldn't you be able to see if it was there. I know if I was wallhacking, i'd turn it on just to see it (I get caught by surprise when i'm checking on it sometimes).

            He also tries to find an enemy at Pent when he is at top of lifts. He is fighting two enemies at pent, one he kills, the other gets out through the water, but skil doesn't see/hear this and thinks the enemy is still around. Skil goes to check to see if the enemy might be hiding at bottom of lifts just as another guy spawns behind him at top of lifts.

            Oh and mindz, your 2nd and 4th points have no merit. Points 1, 3, and 5 are up for debate and it is sketchy, but not enough to convict.

            Note about spawn sounds: there's ususally a kill message associated with it, so you know if a teammate or an enemy just died.

              Yes, they are completely toggle able (unless its a PAK2 variant,which isnt really a wallhack by an OpenGL standard wallhack)

                i dont have the balls to admitt when i cheat?

                First off, How many times i have i told the WHOLE server at rage, "U ***S WANNA RUN AND HIDE, THATS FINE, I GOT NO WALLS" pretty much every time i have cheated since i came back to quake about 3 months ago, ive admitted i cheated when i was cheating, so dont say i dont have the balls to admitt it, cuase im never no bitch,

                i already said i was togglein in this demo foo, but at beginning i was not cheating, some1 has the demo of me saying that at rage, the dude on the bridge was not meant to get shot, i was aiming at the guy i heard get out of water, the thing about the spawn, read the text at the top and u can tell if ur team ate died or enemy died, everyone knows that, but yes i was cheating in parts of this demo, but the beginning for like the first 2

                    Doesn't have anything to do with this thread, but just FYI ... the server doesn't send underwater enemy info to clients if they aren't underwater (only a server with vised maps would do that).

                    Someone in the water (if they are deep enough) can't be detected no matter what. This is basically how DarkPlaces anti-wallhack features works, except it checks every player position and if someone isn't in view, the data doesn't get sent.

                        You was aiming at the guy getting out of H20? I just replayed that demo and watched it thoroughly without opengl32 wallhacks turned on , and used a FOV 90 to give it a more leniant outlook for debate.

                        First off, the guy getting out of H20 ,with FOV90 , is clearly seen heading to Mound,saying your aiming at the guy getting out of H20 when you see he's headed to Mound is ridiculous.

                        Props for admitting to toggle'ing in this demo specifically,but your now a known cheater in Quake1 period.Your going to continue to catch shit for it,be it this demo,or a new demo someone has recorded of you doing it again.

                        I admit to having various forms of hacks,but 10 to 1 says you'll never see someone provide a demo that even remotely hints at me using them,because I dont.I've submitted nearly every cheat I've gotten my hands on to r00k for him to attempt a counter-measure against it,which is more than one hack.

                        Thing is, I dont care if im playing against a hack personally,but for the sake of the future of the Quake community,we dont need peon's with some skill,or no skill,hacking for whatever reasons.This isnt really something worth my time, I just find it odd that you have admitted to cheating,admitted to toggling in this demo,and get pissy when people give you shit about cheating.It makes no sense,its like getting caught having intercourse with the same sex (male or female) and then get mad when the gossip gets around that your a gay/lesbian.You have a right to be irritated,but to expect less,is completely ridiculous.

                              I agree baker,completely.

                              Voidy is another cheat, I got two demo's from Sunshine .HDZ sent to me,and at first I didnt consider them to be hacks of any sort,but after a more careful review (not being buzzed,and not being impatient,and watching them with wallhacks enabled) , he is definately wallhacking.

                              Does anyone know if LordHavoc and r00k are working on QrackServer executional becoming non-wallhackable? Wallhacks are the hardest to prove, aimbots and dodgebots (can be hard to prove in itself) are typically easily spotted and identified,but Pak2 wallhack/OpenGL still have loop holes enabling them to be used in both CAx servers and CA+/CRMOD ProQuake Cheat-Free server's.
