    k-teams changes qworld physics so that they are no longer vanilla qw, i would say vanilla qw is quite similair to offline netquake. But aim prediction etc etc would not matter with ping 0 :].

    There should be unzipping programs on SDA, to allow you to unzip dzips in .demo files, check the downloads section or something.

    As for the records, good luck, lol. These people have been breaking them for ~10 years now have have just about perfected the physics in netquake. so as for the id1 maps i'd say the times are pretty close to absolute fastest possible now.
    Yet I still beat you more easily than a hammer can beat a fresh batch of Rowntree's fruit jelly.

      whoa...k-teams changed qworld physics??!?!?!?! Is this documented somewhere? It's not that I don't believe you, it's just that this is the first I've heard of this (not that I should have heard of it earlier). K-teams is just a mod, though, right? Teamfortress is also a mod; were the physics changed in teamfortress as well?

        Interesting. I tried the jump to the SNG with several sys_ticrate settings and -listen 8 on the command line. I can neither do it in singleplayer nor deathmatch. This is Proquake with no mods. I can do it easily in fuhquake.

        I remember seeing a NQ demo of it but I don't have that anymore.

          I am strafe jumping off of the door (after it submerges) from underneath the archway to the sng platform. I run forward, press left strafe and jump at same time, and continue to hold forward and strafe as i complete the jump. I do this the same way in ezquake. I was not able to jump straight up onto the SNG platform in either proquake or ezquake.

                I have to wonder if you are talking about a different jump, because this jump seemed rather trivial, and I'm not even that good at this stuff.

                  That's the jump I was talking about. I can't do it no matter how I try. I'm pretty sure it has to do with the water. It seems like I'm sticking to it. I'm using PQ 3.50 software.

                  I know for a fact that I'm not the only one. I can do all kinds of other jumps.

                  What client, renderer, FPS, config did you use? It starts to make me sick. I'll have to ask AguirRe or someone like that about it.

                  Baker, can you do it in Proquake?

                    i am using glpro.exe with pq_maxfps 300. I will try it in default winquake.exe

                    Edit: was not able to do it in winquake.exe, but was able to do it in wqpro.exe. I am pretty sure it has to do with maxfps. I will do some more testing.

                    Edit2: Ok, in wqpro.exe and glpro.exe I cannot make the jump with 120 maxfps or less; however, I can make the jump with 121 maxfps or more.

                    Edit3: In quakeworld I can make the jump regardless of the maxfps (I went to the minimum, 30, and still made the jump).

                          actually this jump is only possible if the server is running at at least 125 fps.. then even if the client is running 30 fps u can make the jump.. if the server runs anything less then 125.. u cant do it, no matter what the clients fps is..

                          this is true at least for glpro as a server running NON-dedicated...
