mPlayer was trash.

It was all newbies / retards.

People that you see playing now who have played quake for 11 years and still suck at the game are people from mPlayer.

Many of the retards in runequake who can't even express a single coherent sentence in english are also from mPlayer.

Mplayer was basically a niche for the dumbest / worst quake players.

If only gamespy arcade kept supporting quake one, then the quake community could of stayed together. Gamespy killed mplayer and q1 :C

Mplayer rocked... Omicron, Mplayer had many good netquakers playing there.. Not making them newbies, it was just a fun atmosphere to play and thats what brought them to Mplayer.. Yes it was full of lots of newbies but at the same time we all knew who was a newbie and who wasnt.. We would make a "Dm3" room and if people joined and said "no dm3, put it to house or slipgate" they would get the boot from the room.. if a DM3 room was made it would draw good or decent players and for the most part you knew everyone "QWL, LOA," and such...
Mplayer was a blast, the lobby with chat was just fun to hang out and chat then get a game in.. the ranks would be fun too...
i miss the mod for sure, and when they tried to remake it "SeeMePlayMe" it didnt go so well which was a shame.. i was looking forward to it, but when i finally got a new IP "I was banned before it was even up and running" the lobby was empty and stayed empty, plus the servers sucked and lagged terribly..

oh well. netquake is good enough i guess.. haha
