Basically in a nutshell Rage is only there for a handful of admins to fully enjoy, if you don't play how they tell you to play you're fucked.Last edited by Phenom; 07-11-2007, 03:51 AM.

As far as Spoon goes: Really need to consider that there are others that used to play Quake come back to find out that they need to be mindreaders to play on certain servers. Get a clue.
I will find you... it's only a matter of time.

Well I was kicked for talking trash(Trash talking on Quake? naa never.), kicked for using nailgun, kicked for using axe, kicked for asking people if they wanted to join a game at Dredd a few times then I was permanently banned for my actions on the Quakeone.com forums according to Yellow No.5.
So Omicron gets banned from Quakeone.com for his actions on Quakeone.com, I get banned from Rage for my actions on Quakeone.com. This is fucking weird! anyway..
I could break it down even further and give the exact reasons Yellow No.5 has given me on why other people and myself might find a undeserving ban but I seriously doubt Hercules himself could budge the stick that is wedged up Yellow No.5's ass

You aren't missing much Phenom; to the shagrin of myself and presumably other dm'ers and even ca'ers, CAx dm3 is so predictable that it's really just continuous repetition of the same fights each and every time (and same random splash rapings without even seeing anyone). My crying over warping to say the Camp Grounds or Edge is about done with. My calling people idiots and morons over frustration due to these things similarly ends when I play something with some unpredictability. Interesting.

People need to be mindreaders to be able to count how many people are on each team? Really? Even if you don't know about the teams command in console you can still press tab and count by yourself. I mean...they still teach that in school right? By the way, I've never seen anyone get banned or kicked for using certain weapons besides phenom just because yellow apparently doesn't like him.

I think Spoon should give some warning before using the kick command. As it has been observed, Jawbreaker didn't know what was going on. That's all, case solved
I was temp banned from rage during frenzy's tourney just before yeller's match because "sorry cs I don't like you so..."<ban>
CS fuckin PMd me!

bind (RQ and FvF do this sometimes, I hate it.)

fov - (the RQ mod messes with FOV and I hate that)
config load/save from a cfg/ folder
cfg_save filename.cfg
cfg_load filename.cfg
setting readonly flag to a cvar:
readonly fov
you may need special code for that one, because some cvars area hidding functions behind or are special handled. ( netnames, etc)

Thanks Tei.Quakeone.com - Being exactly one-half good and one-half evil has advantages. When a portal opens to the antimatter universe, my opposite is just me with a goatee.
So while you guys all have to fight your anti-matter counterparts, me and my evil twin will be drinking a beer laughing at you guys ...

I guess Spoon has this thing called common sense which infers that someone should know when and when not to join a game. It's just a kick, not a ban. Banning during matches is a separate issue.
But yeah, quake being an 11 year old, essentially irrelevant GAME is a good point. As I stated to Yellow-5 when I cc'd after someone left on the opposing team (I was reconfiguring a zillion times per usual), implying that cc'ing deserves regulation means that CAx pub games have some sort of point. The point is?
It's rhetorical, by the way.Last edited by Stung; 07-13-2007, 06:27 AM.

Furthermore, actually, one may be interested to learn how strategies have changed in CA since it changed from a frag-based scoring system to a damage-based system. Kamikazism and general aggression is predominant, and those who do not conform are subject to harassment by others. In otherwords, winning the teamgame is irrelevant, how much damage you do without, essentially, regard to damage done to you is the basic style today. Those more passive (Taxi, Spasm) or passive aggressive (Vibe) win much more often for a reason. Operant conditioning basically. If you want the "point" (winning) to be brought back to ca, try changing that system. After all, there IS an MVP based on damage stats for those who care about that.

once again i lose connection... thinking is something to do with my connection, i try to join up one more time... and i notice it says... "you are banned from this server."
what's up with that? I never said a word to anybody... Is that how quakeone.com servers are admin'd? Banned for no reason? Just curious...

Point is he was banned. Maybe the guy is slow and didn't understand what was taking place or maybe he was trying to remember alltogether to learn how to play again. You can't automatically assume that everyone knows and underestands how to play the game. Little more communication would've been nice.
How many people read the manual that comes with a game? Some just jump in and learn as they go.
I will find you... it's only a matter of time.
