lol true, most LCD's only get 75fps, and on my card something like ProQuake has flashing sbar and fubar'd widescreen support.

75fps isnt that bad, after u get used to it. Besides, its not a clan match it's just playing for the sake of playing. Sitting on the bench and watching the game die pretty much sums up the incompatibilities of most older engines and new hardware.

Turn Vsync on in the control pannel and or stop running darkplaces with RT lights and that guy's 2.7GB texture pack -_-

I've never used anything of that sort.
I just run normal GL proquake.

I'd get some myself if I was in a good position to soak up some of your wisdom but my "Quake time" is so scattered right now that I couldn't sit down and consentrate

Demos will be selective upon choice of the person I am teaching.
If it is a high caliber player ill demo it, if its a newbie I wont.
For example if I teach lerster how to play I cannot demo this because it would be irrelevant to your specific talent.

where as a superstar is more relevant to everyone.
