ya you can set max teams to 2 or 3 etc, you can even lock CC so that it will only allow people to CC *if* teams are unbalanced...

I tried openarena... was OK.
Tried Warsow.... and I am totally hooked. Anyone wanting a faster paced quake-like game should try this out.

Not wishing to start a rediculous mod war, as RQ and CA each have their own benefits and drawbacks and I'm not a massive fan of either mod, but as with most things what suits one player may not suit another. Paradise does have a point in that if you get disenchanted with one mod or server then try another. Thanks to people like Slot, Zop, RG, Rook, Bam, etc there are lots of fun mods out there ('Vanilla' DM / Rquake / Slide / Runequake / DMP / CA / C*S's DM / Runquake plus / etc) and numerous different servers to try (Speaknow / Fear / bigfoot / flanders / dredd / rage / blackhat / etc) before leaving Quake. Trust me, not every server is like shmack
