Stop Banning Me I Did Nothing Wrong

This is ridiculous... I just got ip banned from the "server list" and now I cannot view / and or play on quake servers because I cannot view who is playing where. All for posting some SUBJECTIVE opinions on some random player's skill levels in 2 threads.

BAKER, JUST BECAUSE I INSULTED YOUR ONLINE GIRLFRIEND DOES NOT MEAN YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO ABUSE ADMIN AND KEEP ME FROM VIEWING THE SERVERLIST. THERE WAS NO REASON FOR AN IP BAN AND IT WAS NOT WARRANTED. STOP CENSORING OPINION, AND STOP IP BANNING ME SO I CAN'T VIEW THE SERVERS. THERE'S NO WAY I CAN REASONABLY PLAY QUAKE WITHOUT THAT SERVER LIST AND YOU'RE A TRUE PIECE OF SHIT FOR DOING THAT WITHOUT ANY REAL LEGITIMATE REASON.

People can talk shit about me night and day here but whenever I get a word in I get banned. Sure I use a few "naughty words" show me where it says they aren't allowed? If they are being filtered then what's the problem? If not then you should install a filter on the forums. Competetivness & flaming is a part of quake and this is PURE BULLSHIT that I need to go to such great lengths to be able to fucking look at what servers are up and who's playing where because the site admin got offended by my comments to his online girlfriend - 6 months to a year ago too...

I request the IP ban and the forum ban on my last account be taken off, this is total and utter admin abuse of the lamest caliber. if you don't take that shit off there is no way i can play quake. i am not connecting to 10+ servers to see who is on.

i have not seen such poor corrupt abuse of moderator privileges in any community, ever. much less for a dying game that can use every single player, you should be fucking ashamed of yourself. this is the type of shit that makes people leave and honestly i wont be playing until i can view the servers again - there's no point and its impossible

that's way too difficult. i have the serverlist on my favorites and i absolutely need it to view all games to see where to play, if i don't have it then really it makes looking for a quake game a pain in the ass and worthless. i shouldnt even be having to waste my time making this thread, the admin should be responsible and reasonable, this whole situation is outrageous and i would like to see what he has to say besides "you are mean" or "you flame a couple people" WOW sounds like everyone in quake doesn't it? you dont like me thats fine but learn to use authority responsibly, you should not be using the ban command EVER unless there's some kind of hacking / cheating / whatever going on

You've been banned not only from the server list, but multiple Quake servers for your immense trash talking, more than any player of any game I've ever played. In short, you're like a cancerous pollup on the anus of Quake, and Quake is better off without you. So you've been banned.

As for your bitching about the server list, stfu. There's plenty of other ways, and you've (unfortunately) managed to worm your lazy ass around the servers somehow, I'm sure you can remember how you did it.

I have two statements to make. Omicron deserved a ban or a temp ban because he was really disrespectful to some players on the forum. It was one post after another full of flaming. If he can change his attitude then there would be no reason to keep the ban.

But what omicron has illustrated is that he's not of the only one on the forum who acts like a flaming jerk to other players. Yet he's the only one who gets the ban. The example made of him didn't have any effect on the other players. If you want to see the flaming I'm talking about, look at the top 6 RQ and CA player threads.

I am in favor of Omicron being un-banned if he changes his attitude. Ideas and oppinions can be presented in proper ways without flaming / insulting everyone left and right.

I believe all should have second chances and there is good in everyone and forgiveness does bring forth the good side of a person.

For the record, I banned him, not Baker. As someone already said, second chances... you are given chance after chance and all you do is continue your old ways. I'm through with giving you chances. You've been banned with 3 different accounts now, time for the IP ban. And the purpose of your ban is to keep people coming to the site. Your bullshit brings down the community.

Only when he is truly screwed (such as now) will he come out and try to redeem himself.

He can't quite get himself to say sorry, so I guess this is his unique way of doing it. This is the type of player who drives away players from a community, not the opposite.

You're all better off with less trash talk. In terms of his competitive nature, he definitely needs to learn there are more constructive ways to deal with criticism, bashing, trolling, and flaming.

Trash talking can be dealt with in a fun and sportive manner, there is absolutely no need to be unrealistic in what he says to others, or try to diminish individual players who are superior in skill to him.

Like I mentioned in the top 6 CA thread, you guys have to realize on the internet there are many individuals who have surmounting problems, whether it would be life - self esteem issues, financial, family matters, love or anything related, the internet is a safe haven and breeding grounds for angry people who look to tarnish and humiliate others in hope they will feel the same pain.
