R00k notified me that such features that require no admins around are available in the mod already. The admins of the CAx servers just choose not to enable them if I recall correctly. As for a chat ban, that could be implemented by compiling your own version of the proquake engine to allow that. Say you chat 3 times in 5 seconds and you get a 1 minute chat ban.

Qrack can also mute mm1 noises by using cl_mute "2" so people know

and I think some other commands which people might find useful in qrack are con_notifytime "0" & con_notifylines "0"

I got kicked out of the server in about the 7th round when i was CC'd red in a 3v3 game in which you were afk for 5 straight rounds.

You kept joining the game and yet sat afk for multiple rounds throughout 4 games..

When i got kicked i said why did i get kicked and you replied "you were a different color" although you were afk throughout the game.. so I thought it was a bit hypocritical of you

Then omi got muted for talking to me about a video game.. and you said "like the new admin features omi?" .. he reconnected multiple times which annoyed everyone and I guess at that point was banned..

I've made my views on banning clear before, but basically I think someone should be banned only for:

1) cheating
2) constant text spamming designed to annoy everyone on the server

The fact that you ban people for talking normally or ccing or whatever is why I complain. I think you and Yellow are horrible admins.

Tonight sunshine was abusing admin like he usually does when he gets drunk. He banned several people, including me, all started with him slaying me, muting me for no reason. He ruined at least 8 games, and thats a conservative number, kicking/banning randoms, muting me randomly, then banning me afterwards.

I have reported him being a problem admin a bunch of times now. Dread are you too chickenshit to take some action?

Hmmm. Thats odd, Omi, cause I went through the server's logs, several times, in fact. Reading and searching and reading and searching more. Not once did I see where it said you were kicked or banned... Interesting. And, I honestly don't recall you bringing such a thing to my attention before this. I'm not chickenshit, I just don't base my decisions on your opinions, no matter how much you would like that.

Actually I was there, we were all talking about starcraft.. some video games.. and just playing.. it was some late night Quake..

I will admit, Omi did get muted for no good reason. I apologize, and I have made it clear to the admins and the other players on the server, that bitch about shit talking, that this is a video game, and shit talking exists not matter what you do about it. Muting will only piss others off, as we've seen already. As for excessive mm1 chat, I would, and Im sure the other admins agree with me on this, mute, not kick, or ban, IF needed. Even though Omi was not excessively chatting in mm1.

It's funny how in Quake after one person gets an admin code, the entire community has it a few weeks later..

After frenzy got the code suddenly Bib, Spoon, Yellow, Sunshine all have the admin code.. Bib abused it a few times as well kicking randoms while he was pretending to be afk and not responding when people were complaining..

Frenzy had the code for about a week, Some people came to me about it, and he abused the power, so I took it away. Mind you this was way before Y5 and SS started chipping in on the server with me.
Bib, however, has never had admin on SpeakNow.
Y5 And SS have worked with me on the server for a while now and recently started going in thirds on the price. This has been going on for several months now. You all never complained then. But, once you found out they were admins, I started getting complaints thrown at me left and right about their "adminship". So, whoever's ass your pulling this information out of is full of shit and I would quit reaching immediately. Its amazing how jealousy can stem from one simple discovery.

It's easy to say "once certain people get admin,everyone gets admin" when your not in the "who has admin loop" , but im sure able bodies are making those decisions,and when some one steps out of line and gives out admin that shouldnt be,it will be handled,along with abusive admin's.

Hmmmm.
I think sunshine was trying to keep the game organized for the others. They may have not minded that you CC, this is true. But most of the time on the Late Nights of the server, it is the better, not trying to fuck a game up crowd that plays.
Kicking you was wrong. If control of a situation like that has ever needed to be gained, I use the admin-remove command, which simply removes you from the current game, and I encourage this to be used by the other admins. I guess sometimes it just feels better to kick someone. =\
