Poll: Pldown 4 or 3?

Out of curiosity. I would imagine most skilled players would enjoy 3 more, because you actually get the chance to play the round based on skill and or technique and you don't have to sit in one position because of spam and too many attack angles, or deal with people who sit in one position and spam easy openings / chokepoints, deal with a ridiculous volume of nades, etc.

Which do you prefer and why?

How many people are active during the round, and the rest have to wait until someone dies. When there is 4 the server usual turns into a giant spamfest with people sitting in one spot and shooting / spamming one-two locations or chokepoints. The game becomes so boring and un-fun and half the time the people at the top of the scoreboard are just people spamming the fuck out of rockets / GLs.

It makes a world of a difference..
those big 4v4 5v5 games just have way too much spamming and waiting out..

its also hard to face someone 1on1 without someone else interfering

You cant please everyone is the problem with PL down,or PL up. Server standard should be set into place before it becomes popular, just like max and previous servers had their own settings..

For DM3, yes 3 in 1 rotates, maps like q1edge, or q3dm6 sure 4 in...

Since just about everyone prefers 3, it begs the question why speaknow has 4 as the default option. I think 4 severely hinders the enjoyment of the game, and probably makes the mod look bad if anyone connects to the server who's new. It just looks like a bunch of shit blowing up randomly with no real skill involved

Because all of the players of any value have posted supporting 3, and I didn't see a single person admitting to supporting 4?

Yeah I'll agree about 3. I was a little reluctant to vote at first because I wasn't sure, but now that I think about it, noone likes the green team when they join, and usually there aren't enough players to have four teams anyway (they'd prefer to have two big teams instead).
