I do have to say this is pretty funny.

I've got a demo from the last time I got kicked by dreadful. It's not a very long demo, maybe 5 minutes or so, but It should be enough proof that I don't hack.

I've never kicked you. Plus, why would we want to see a demo you recorded yourself? Of course you wouldn't use the bot when you're recording a demo of yourself to prove to others you don't bot. 3 or 4 months back you weren't that good. I could beat you some games. Then one day your aim got flawless. I have seen multiple demos of you and had many complaints over the last month or so.

As for whysee, sorry I didnt reply to your PM. <-- Been busy. =\ So I only get on to play and get on to check servers. But, you are quite iffy as well. I have seen Demos as you as well, not as obvious behavior, but complaints about you come up too.

Basy got me back into quake 1 and was very nice to me. But there is no excuse to cheat and ruin the game for everyone that plays it fairly.

Basy was in my CA clan 6 years ago. He cheated and openly admitted it. He still openly admits it when you talk to him in private. He even offers to send you it if you are nice enough.

The difference is he thinks he has some sort of "public" reputation of being a good player and doesn't want absolutely everyone to label him a cheater. Its too late for this as everyone knows hes been cheating for years. Like Doug he has a bad case of DENIAL.

Just play legit and you wont get banned in the first place. I'm sick of cheaters bitching...

Wouldn't this be a problem for players with high efficiency?

I regularly hit 25-30% shaft eff with a high RL eff to boot, I fail to see how this system would be effective.

The only solution to R00k's master plot of banning "hi-effers" is to start spamming non-stop.


Isn't there a way in QuakeC where you can tell the distance between two objects? Could there be a change where that distance is null'd? So there is no distance variable? Or would this mess with bullet collision? Its not like theres regular monsters in CA so whats the need for the distance between two objects function?

I agree with tal on this. This anti bot feature about high efficiency scores is pretty ridiculous. At least it is if it's going to be targeted at people hitting 30% or higher. I remember having an eff contest of sorts with chronage and we both finished in the low 40's. High eff doesn't always equal cheating. Now if someone is hitting like 50 + eff on a consistent basis..... then yeah I'd be suspicious.

And as far as youthic and basy are concerned. I've never thought youthic cheated. And he's definitely better than his brother in my opinion so I've never really thought for a second about basy botting. My experience with basy is probably alot more limited than other's such as omi or ramp though... so I'll leave that up to those who don't ignore him such as myself.

Hey ya, I was going to touch in on this.

What happens if over the course of time I turn uber leet and my efficiency is at 100%. I already switch weapons extremely fast as I have everything binded around my fingertips, even the axe, ha! The only way to nail someone you do not see is by them making noise and turning to hit them and changing your aim to them once you see them. But what if you do this really really fast, then what? Are you a botter then, labelled a cheater and a see-through-wall-hacker - as you guys say?

Slugnut was playing CA the other night, and I watched him. This guy is just friggin' awesome! I rode some CA veterans as you might say, Cata, Sunshine, Krix, Rampage, Frenzy and even Omicron but I was seeing some NICE stuff in Slugnut. I mean, every move he made was so naturally perfect, his RJs, the height at which he landed, timing, everything, and all his rox and lg made contact while moving at lightning speed - getting 100% hit efficiency with the weapons. I should have checked his efficiency, but I bet it was pretty high and certainly he is NOT cheating.

The bottom line is that a computer program needs to be made to detect the presence of additional software used to play besides pure Quake. Excuse me, but I am dumb with this kind of high tech talk. I am sure there are more programming experts over here that can take care of that. I was just mentioning the idea of it.

And yes, I wanted to say stop cheating, that is despicable.

Please use the "eff" command at least once on any server before making a comment on it. It makes more sense to make a comment on efficiency if you know what it is.

Well, I think I was pretty clear I do not have much clue about it.

The lightning speed thing was a joke obviously. I did use the command, but I had no one explain it to me. I assumed, and I do not go by this information, that if all your bullets hit, your eff is 100%, right? Common sense - joke again here - haha - laugh. I do not know any further math of it and how it is calculated.

I understand stupidity from Rampage, who failed to see the humour of my post but I am dissapointed with you Baker as you called my future correspondence "stupid" when it is obvious I do not know what it is and I put a mini-joke in about it.
