Does anyone actually think paradise is good at quake?

So after being told by paradise I was "all ping" and that she would pwn me if I pinged up to her ping, I pinged up to 2x her ping and artificially made myself an HPB (100 ping). I raped her 5-0 multiple times with her complaining that she "will beat me in 1 month."

She really thinks she is good at quake. It's time to burst her bubble. Does anyone here actually SERIOUSLY think that paradise is a good player?

My intention was never to "pwn" you, you were bored at RQ and was bitchin' about wanting to play CA and I volunteered since I wanted to get some CA practice and give you a game. I suggested you match your ping to mine for a fair fight. You went off after that.

I play intense games and regardless of outcome there is no reason for putting someone down like this. Everything is part of the learning process and even though I have not played CA much if at all into the prior 3 months when I got started into this mod, coming one point away from victory one time against a self-proclaimed elite at least deserves a honorable mention and pat onto the back for encouragement of solid effort, none of which I received, only flame and mean words. *Sigh*

Enough about the attention whore, he is not worth mentioning.

Speaking of them, it is shameful to admit, that true to Baker's other poll, that the Europeans are much more courteous.

Perhaps now the 2 trolls who slammed me so hard for liking European culture can learn a thing and two from how you guys conduct yourself onto the servers.

For all the other foreign players, please do not judge us Americans by how these two assholes act - Omicron and Phenom - they are an embaressment to us all and to our community and give us a bad image.

Tia is good, whether you want to believe so or not. Personally, I am sick and tired of you referring to RQ in a derogatory manner. I have stood on the sidelines of this arguement for months, but you seriously have got to grow up and quit running your damn mouth all the time. RQ may not be your cup of tea, but a lot of great players play the mod. We don't walk around slamming CA every chance we get. We could (no self damage, same damn map over and over) but we don't. Why can't you extend us the same courtesy?

I have had my diatribe on Tia's personality, look it up if you want, but her quake skills cannot be questioned.

I apologize if my cut and dry sentence of fact hurt your feelings, but without making a long drawn out post I just wanted to let people who do not know how scoring/CA scoring works a little incite about what 5-6 means.

You aren't the worst of the Clan Arena players, but you aren't as good as me and I only consider myself an average CA player.

Keep up your efforts in CA, I actually enjoy playing vs someone like you on CA, you are a good opponent for someone of my skill, you still need to work on your player predictions and plan of action when it comes time to fight.

Don't think of this as me bashing you because it says nothing bad about you. These are my personal experiences while playing verses you or watching you play others on CA.

I personally didn't think you did a good job, you both started whining like little kids most of the time. The whole experience was flattened by your attitude towards Omicron and Omicron's attitude towards you. NO MATTER WHO STARTED IT.

Watching you 2 play vs each other was entertaining as Omicron gave himself a handicap knowing he was the superior CA player, thats respectable, his slanderous comments towards your non-existing ability to defeat him was a bit much, he was already winning and the whole thing was being recorded so why couldn't he settle for winning? Omicron you are definitly an ass when it comes to rubbing things in

Paradise, your attitude wasn't perfect throughout the matches, while I see why you would get furious at someone's stupid comments towards your skills at a video game, you should learn to become preemptive and avoid such long drawn out flame wars that you know will cause people to respond and flame you.


Once again, I'm not calling you a horrible CA player and I don't understand why you are putting me in the same basket as Omicon, I don't even like Omicron, but I learned that letting someone I don't even know, someone who doesn't know me, someone who is hiding behind a computer while they flame/talk crap/whore them selfs, get underneath my skin when I completely have the ability & judgment to ignore it, or even better, get up and walk away from the PC is the difference between someone who flames and someone who defends them self over a Quake forum, and someone who has a life.

Me personally, I do not have time to spread negativity/lies/teenage drama around on the internet anymore. I barely have enough time to sit and play a game of Quake. Thats why I am successful. I believe if I let anyone take time away from me and make me respond in a negative way that I have lost time and money.

I work for myself, I am my own boss, I own my own business, I choose how much money I make and while I enjoy Quake, I enjoy freedom to do whatever I want, almost whenever I want. I'm trying to make Quake 1 desirable, but first I handle my business. These people on this forum who disrupt the integrity of Quake itself seriously need to get off their computer and find a hobby to take their personal issues out on. This is not a personal forum, its a public forum. I respect the board leaders who helped construct this place for QUAKERS to congregate and help each other out. Lets cut the negativity.

Theres a lot more important things to do not only to resurrect Quake 1 but also with the individuals who play the game.

Look at this community and the small handful of other Quake 1 sites left.

We are Quake 1. I would rather send out a neutral or positive influence and help Quake regrow then worry about my personal issues while I visit these forums or play the game.

Ask around, I'm sure you will see people tell you I'm nowhere near as aggressive as I used to be when it comes to people trying to get under my skin.

Paradise I see you as a greatly involved individual who has a lot to say. Your presentation hurts your credibility however, please work on becoming a better person like God intended for you.

edit: If that is really niko from 9, which would be very suspect since clan 9 played QW almost exclusively (except against DR of course), I met him briefly in 1999. If I recall correctly, he was really fucking big.
