  • Your Quake Config

    What type of config do you use? Just post the basics (don't copy/paste your entire config). Here's mine:

    W = forward
    S = back
    A = left
    D = right

    F = hook
    E = impulse 8
    R = impulse 7

    MOUSE1 = fire
    MOUSE2 = jump

    G = rune use
    V = rune drop

    Am I the only one who uses the mouse to jump?

    This is mines. I have my weapon keys bound around my movement keys for fast gun switching.

    bind e +forward
    bind a +back
    bind s +moveleft
    bind f +moveright

    bind space +jump
    bind mouse1 +attack
    bind mouse2 +hook

    bind r "impulse 8"
    bind w "impulse 7"
    bind t "impulse 6"
    bind v "impulse 5"
    bind z "impulse 4"
    bind c "impulse 3"
    bind q "impulse 2"
    bind d "impulse 1"

    bind x "rune-use"
    bind g "rune-delete"
    bind h "rune-tell"

    Yes it seems Steve your the only one to mouse jump

        Yeah, I know I shouldn't use the arrow keys. So don't bother telling me to try WASD, because I can NEVER get used to it.

              w,s,a,d - movement keys
              q - "say laff"

                The most useful configs I have are as follows:
                • Z = rune-use
                • X = rune-delete
                • A = step left
                • D = step right
                • S = backpedal
                • CTRL = +hook
                • M1 = Fire
                • M2 = Forward
                • M3 = rune-use
                • ALT = Lightning Gun
                • SHIFT = Rocket Launcher

                Default mouse sensitivity is 38, but my "weapons switches" are actually TXT files that change sensitivity to a comfortable number for each weapon:
                • ALT = exec k.txt

                        Yeah, I know I shouldn't use the arrow keys. So don't bother telling me to try WASD, because I can NEVER get used to it.

                        Only two items were different and I changed them... but this is my config as well.

                        I will find you... it's only a matter of time.

                          I also use the arrow keys too, I can never get used to WASD either. It is basically the same concept, its just very weird for me to get used too.

                              Is using the scroll wheel to select weapons so rare? I use WASD like most, q and e are delete/use rune keys, v is tell rune, and mouse buttons are fire and hook. I have three other mouse buttons that could be something, but nothing seems neccessary. oh, and m is "kill"
