Quake64 Does not have the same atmosphere. Too overcolored, and the textures look very washed out compared to the Pc version. The slime looks shitty and the sky too. It may be fun on a N64 though.

I got the n64 version after a few years of playing quake back in the day, and they did reduce the architecture quite a bit. I was a keyboarder at the time, so I didn't get too far in it. Also in e1m2, they took out the window frames and boxes from the starting room.
That Saturn version looks like they rebuilt the level from scratch, rather than toning down the map complexity.Comment
