Well I have no other way of contacting these guys. And I get banned for stupid reasons. Nobody has any proof of me botting. Dread was eyecam'ing me and still believes I'm botting. How do I even look like a bot? Same with you, Tal, assuming you read this. I got one lucky shot, which I don't even remember what exactly happened. You make some of the most ridiculous shots I've ever seen on Quake, yet nobody accuses you of anything.

I don't even own a bot. My quake folder is about as stock as it comes. But whatever.

I guess what I found funny is that you spawned at upper maze.. the guy spawned at the right corner of sng (at the health).. you walked down the stairs.. and just as you were about to make your way to leave SNG.. as the guy pops out of the corner.. you do a snap turnaround (without ever hearing him) at the exact time he pops out and direct rocket him within a second of your turn.

Whether it's legitimate or not, it would give reason to raise suspicion. I rarely blame anyone, and anyone I have blamed was caught botting (Jesus, phocus, RAMBO was the biggest denier of my accusations but he was caught, he literally wrote an essay about how he doesn't bot).

For other observers I think people find your shaft weird, you hover at 25 % (I do as well) but when you're accused, your LG %'s drop dramatically to the teens in the 15%-19% range.

In addition, what's strange to me is how one game you look like a complete newb, and the next game your shaft sticks from one guy to the other. In the past, these were common traits of a botter; the quick discrepancy in skill within one game to the next after accusations.

Again, we played 1on1, and I didn't see anything out of the ordinary.. I've also cammed you and you seem to play completely regular most of the time; I don't really care at this point whether you bot or not.

One thing that leaves a person to be curious is where you came from, you don't often see a guy pop up out of no where (with a nickname no one recognizes). The Quake community knows one another (in reference to why no one accuses me, I've been known since the beginning of CA). People have rarely come out after 10+ years of CA unknown and start playing at a high level, I guess for most of the people who play you, they would rather know who you really are so they can make assumptions whether you cheat or not.

Those who don't recognize you jump to quick conclusions about your skill set.

Lastly, your IP is identical to that of both Yellow#5 and Stranger, this is another reason some people think you may hack.

I always do 180's in that area to check if anyone is ever behind me because of how the spawns work. Usually there is. I honestly don't even recall the moment, but could be that I saw him and reacted quickly.

My shaft is generally in the 19-25% range, sometimes I have off games. It happens, big deal. It's rarely under 17%.

The last time I was Quaking was probably about 6-7 years ago. I know there's a few guys who recognize my old Heat.net names and my " rusty" name. And it's not like I just popped out of nowhere, I came back to Quake in late '08. There's been plenty of time for me to improve and de-rust.
