Kimp: I've received hundreds of complaints and you've had over a year to change your behavior.
I've decided to share this tool with everybody so that we can keep Kimp from interfering with games any longer. If you want access, message me. Here's the deal:
I'm granting you access to this tool ONLY so that you can ban ONLY Kimp. I'm going to be EXTREMELY STRICT about this: Unless you're an HDz admin, if you take it in your own hands to unban anybody, or, if you ban ANYBODY other than Kimp using this tool--even as a joke or just to try it out--you will have your access removed and YOU will be banned using it instead... and it will be permanent, without exception. So don't abuse it. This is your final and only warning. Don't fuck up either. If you "accidentally" lose your password and somebody else issues a prohibited ban under your username... you're gone. If you ban somebody who isn't Kimp by "accident" and I receive a complaint... you're gone. So be sure of yourself and don't screw up because I'm not taking excuses. I hope I've emphasized the hell out of that in this post so that I don't have to police it or deal with more BS. I want it to police itself. That's the whole point of releasing this in the first place. If you abuse it, you're gone. Period. As you can see from the screenshot, it's pointless anyway, since every action is stored and logged in a database. I can undo anything that you do. So don't even think about it.
EDIT: Although I haven't received any objections, I've decided that the above in smallest print was overly harsh; I don't want to overly discourage people from using it. I understand that people go masquerading around as different aliases. However, if you ban the wrong person by accident, then you'll have your access permanently revoked on the first occurrence, so just be sure of yourself. To avoid any favoritism here, this applies even if you've helped and used it a lot. The intent is to preemptively prevent any BS or lame excuses that I have to deal with (to none), by removing any temptation to abuse it, so that we can all just have fun and play, thus I must to be firm and somewhat intentionally Nazi about it. However, if you go dicking around and do it as a prank or on purpose to anybody else... the above still applies for the same reason and you'll be permanently banned; I just don't want to deal with it or lame excuses. Don't use any of his aliases. I'll let those remain in place. Don't go overtly messing up games in the middle; you'll likely be assumed to be kimp. This is going to force him (and others) to behave themselves while on any servers hosted on the system.

This is designed to make things more enjoyable for everybody.
I can do this because the community is relatively small.
Keep this window open in a side monitor if you have two of them. If he reconnects using a proxy, just issue another ban. Simple.

I'm only giving this out to people I'm familiar with--i.e., these are mostly the old timers and those who idle in #quake1. Don't feel bad if I respond that I'm not familiar enough with you; I don't know the vast majority of you. ... that and I'm already becoming an old man of 26 years young with bad memory.
