i don't see whats so bad about this 'kimp' character, or israel-gt as I know him. if anything he's more creative and actually willing to try new things, unlike everyone else who plays dm3 non-stop because they're so competetive and don't want to risk losing or looking like a noob on a map they don't know. it blows my mind how i come back to quake after a few months or so, and still see the same exact people playing CA on dm3. CA is quite far from being Quake to me.

The reason I say this is because 'kimp' seems to have his own CRMOD server running at chi.crmod.tk, with many custom maps. Myself, 'kimp', and a few others have played some FFA and teamgames, it was fun while it lasted. Many moments that were truly Quake to me were enjoyed. theres so many different quake maps out there, some able to support 4v4-8v8 action. of course, they're far from the conventional, boring, in my opinion, layout of 'pro' maps, but are nonetheless enjoyable. Isn't that the reason video games came about? entertainment, not competition.

the "Quake" scene of today almost embodies whats wrong with the world today or most people in general. lack of thought, individualilty, never wanting to try anything new, sticking to the same bland basics to look 'pro' and 'cool'.

anyhow, perhaps I don't know the whole story of this 'kimp' character. but, everyday I just view the forums and sigh to myself. its almost like high school again with all the drama and every two posts about some guy no one seems to like.

Good advice on the trying something new thing though Monster. Perhaps you should internalize that and move beyond contrarianism.

What's the point of saying things like this foqer? Seriously. Monster was arguing that kimp was just some super self-actualized individual. Antisocial disregard for others isn't equal to some superior state of individuality, which can be succinctly defined as a unique collection of genes, experiences, and experiential (environmental) influence on said genes. Kimp is an antisocial prick who willfully shit all over other individuals' experiences, which I would say makes him the antithesis of self-actualized and a poor facilitator of individuality. The math's pretty simple.
