  • Ping Hiding

I'm curious if it's still possible to hide your ping in Quake.. meaning if I ping 20 can I show myself as pinging 80 or 90? Just wondering.. if not.. can anyone test if ping hiding still works? I know back in the day there were programs available for it..

          I'm serious. ;p

He had his proxy pinging 20 so I wouldn't think it was him.

its still possible, and its called a pingbot, it was used along long long time ago, but recently i seen somebody with a -999999 ping at speaknow and at shmack, so im assuming it or something similar to it is still around and working.

It's quite easy to spoof your ping, if you open up the quake source. It's a one liner actually. At the same time you can also ignore the ping reply. I think ping is over rated. At 15 ping I still suck
