Since I am the best and interpret myself to be the best, let me speak and be heard. I am great. Not to say that other players aren't almost as good as me, just that I am really good. CD knows how good I am. I am one of the top 3 in DM, CA, CTF, COOP, and PMODE. And, I am probably the GOAT in at least one of those - likely COOP - but that doesn't matter. So yes now that you have read some of the way I feel about myself, and can really get a sense of who I am. Rejoice that I am here to rape & pwn different servers in various mods. Rampage knows how much I owned him back in the days of ole' when I had my 200 ping KILLER V92.7 GAMING modem.

There are others that are good, cd, wolv, and some more - bib & krix (when they play full matches). jake - when he isn't pinging > 32, and lenny when he's pinging 50-160.

Dave & Tal own the Ca servers, even when I'm around - mostly because I'm clean from CA for 6 months now and just observe the mundane madness.

Infact - I'm not so great at DM any more either, although I just beat Lenny & Bruce 6 times in a row (which is an accomplishment) except that leno was lagged to 150 off & on.

So I closing, I would like to state my greatness as a player on and off the field once again. The amazing life that I lead and unbelievable aim and speed with lightning gun, unfathomable by most, will be my legacy always remembered amongst the ranks lesser players traversing quakeone.com.

I'm curious if it's still possible to hide your ping in Quake.. meaning if I ping 20 can I show myself as pinging 80 or 90? Just wondering.. if not.. can anyone test if ping hiding still works? I know back in the day there were programs available for it..

Roughly translated: "I'm all ping, and I want to make my ping appear higher so people don't say I'm all ping anymore, as it makes me want to cut myself."

Lol. Well I remember when ProQuake decided to put the ping on the scoreboard.
It became a pissin contest. Everytime someone connected instead of spamming 'ping' in console, I just kept holding TAB. It just breeds insecurity. If ping was such a factor, we would all be using DarkPlaces, with client-side movement prediction and server-side lag compensation. But I ping under 50 so....
