Draft/First match - 4v4 TDM Tourney

First round would be:
Team A vs H, Team B vs G, Team C vs F, Team D vs E

I was thinking the first round could be held this Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010
at 5PM Pacific/7PM Central/8PM Eastern,
6PM Pacific/8PM Central/9PM Eastern,
7PM Pacific/9PM Central/10PM Eastern,
8PM Pacific/10PM Central/11PM Eastern,
respectively.
(There would be a lay-over time of +/- 10-minutes between matches for teams to exit/enter for each match).

The server would be tx.quakeone.net:26000 because that will be the only cheat-free server running qsecurity.dll.

Also, the allowed clients would be ProQuake 3.5 - 4.0 zeta, since they are the only versions digitally signed for cheat-free.



Any objections to the time/teams/servers?

Ask Mindzy or anyone else who was lamenting this fact in 2006; this is why we got anti-wallhack. To end at least that problem.

This means someone can bot if they want to. And not that I think Linux matters too much at least in the USA, but cheating on Linux even with ProQuake cheat-free is absurdly trivial.

So if you are using ProQuake cheat-free, it is for the sake of using ProQuake cheat-free. There are botting opengl32.dll files out there, and no cheat is of much help against anti-wallhack.

That being said, ProQuake 4 will not run with an opengl32.dll in the Quake folder. If you are not insane, you would only permit version 4.00, but this ignores the fact there are injector versions of the opengl cheats that do not have to be named opengl32.dll.

/Btw ... banned because that's what has been agreed to. Although I hope the tournament happens.

Files need to connect to server

Two files are need to connect to the server:

• 
  1. Qsecurity.dll (http://www.quaketerminus.com/nqexes/qsecurity320.zip)
• 
  2. ProQuake 4.00 (http://quakeone.com/proquake/older_v...90812_0938.zip)

Both of these files are placed in the main q1 folder.

Also rename Pak2.pak before running ProQuake 4.00 in the id1 folder while connecting to cheatfree.
