It isn't personal, but the way to get unbanned here is to quit ruining things from time to time, not do more of it.

Kimp could be a valuable member of the Quake community and in some ways he is despite the stuff he's done. I know you and some others have bad blood with Kimp.

I'd rather see Kimp eventually get unbanned, really. But it can't be one of the mixed situations where sometimes he's doing bad stuff some of the time.

At the same time, constantly re-registering here isn't going to be answer.

I think Kimp is trying way too hard. It's like trying to get all your old high school classmates to come back to gymn and play dodgeball. What he SHOULD do, is make his own dm mod, build his own client (GPL of course), convert some old quake3 models, repackage the whole damn thing and host it to a totally different group of newbies! Take Nexuiz for example!

I was banning his ips for awhile but like Baker said he just uses proxies

There is nothing that can be done as long as kimp has "active" cronie's running around, like for example ; Joker,Splinter,and maybe a couple more miscreant people that just dont understand.

This could be typical Q1 behaviour ,kimp's "startup" in quake wasn't unlike many others ,back say in, 1998 or 1999. Typically back in the day,it went like this....

1;Newb connects to server.
2;Some even BIGGER newb has already been playing for a minute,been getting swoned,and screams cheat for a few rounds.
3;Newb that recently connected now suspects everyone has a hack,and HE must have one too!

Unfortunately, kimp is just a smart cookie.I think Solecord should charge kimp for a "permanent" quakeone.com account that has a monthly fee. You know,aliviate the cost's and possibly buy a new cherrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry red ferarriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii, all for freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee?
