Baker, as foq slighly pointed out, the DM community tried to point out kimp's troubles a year ago. You (the admin of q1) completely shrugged us off.

We wanted kimp out last year, you guys didn't. We pushed hard to get him perm banned, etc.. you guys remained soft.

Now we want to continue to talk about these new and existing issues and you guys just want to completely shut us down.

To say we can't talk about kimp on this forum is pretty bad.

If ram locks/deletes every new thread created about kimp this is not the kind of forum I want to partake in. I can't possibly believe the majority of the users feel we need such extreme moderation where we no longer have the right to "free" speech regarding relevant quake 1 topics.

Magnus, you apparently don't like me. Reason? Who the fuck knows. I made this post to explicitly to point out that....

Magnus would rather go against the grain in any situation involving myself, just like the circumstances of this post,which those circumstances was...

I admin'd up, Gimp disconnects in a ban-avoiding RQ fashion, and when the match ends up TWO vs ONE , Magnus refused to join the game and help ASSIST in keeping the match moving along! Thats complete bullshit,and the Match ended up being RESET because "Magnus was there for OBSERVING" purposes only.


I understand people are tired of seeing GIMP post's, hell, IM FN TIRED OF SEEING TRUCK PICTURES as a direct consequence of saying GIMP in ANY post! (Thats why I have referred to him as GIMP, as opposed to KIM....)

I am also tired of the nonstop complete and utter nonsensical BULLSHIT that is this Quote.....

Kimp was a CAx/SPEAKNOW problem in the beginning, and afterwards he went to TDM.

Magnus, when you say "We wanted kimp out last year" , don't forget that your moment of feeling sorry for him (and giving him a free-pass to TDM while Badaim was out of town working from sometime Early December to sometime Mid-Febuary. It was at THAT point in time you not only had the ABILITY to ban kimp, but unfortunately you failed the Q1 community in that brief amount of time.

*cough BullShat cough* , CAx admins/players made more effort to get rid of kimp than the TDM community ever did, at any given moment.

CA players can fn VOUCH for it, cuz most of us constantly scratched our head in dismay about how the TDM community could have EMBRACED such cancerous quaker. And , 80% of the TDM community DID embrace him.


Then again, at the time I was selfish and figured fuck it he's now CRMOD's problem, and through out the majority of 2010 thats how I looked at the entire situation,but obviously that isn't the case.

I've already wasted enough fn time on this post,time to go finish making my Eazy-E post. Then, go find someone who deserve's a entire Vineyard of GRAPES, right off the vine.

damn... thats one of the stupidest things i've read all year...
for 2 years there has been NOTHING that we can do, and for the past year the most enticing thing ive heard has to do with Avalanches "ban script" that just never showed up.. But it's alrite if U think that, go ahead...
As we speak, there is a certain someone who is building this ish from tha ground up, it all too obvious what kimp does is on purpose...

I don`t think the Quake community has ever been more lenient with any individual who has corrupted the game; honestly with the amount of players we have left there is really no room for his kind anymore.

Us 3wave CTF players, we just plain rock by the looks of this. We've ruled Kimp with an iron fist out of anything 3wave related since day fucking negative 1. I am actually ashamed I am even mentioning the plagues name in a thread. I want no part of the argument going on, but I as a Moderator do agree with the fact that we keep the plague posts in 1 thread labeled after itself. I went through last night the Quake Central section and locked all kinds of threads about it. I see someone else has been hard at work at it to. Give him what he wants, a permanent spot to be talked about. No dirt off our shoulders, freedom of speach held intact, and honestly a few of us QuakeAwesome.com mods are admins at 90% of the Quake servers that are populated/unpopulated.

I care so little about the child that I don't even use -iplog. Kudos to Mindz for his eye catching him almost tricking me into a 1-1

We weren't "soft". [At that time] Forum administration had nothing to do with server administration. And it wasn't "supposed" to.

Needless to say, although it has not been fast, things are getting better and the seeds of better inter-server administration have been coming into place.

Badaim and Mindzfield deserve the credit to the extent that this is improving.

The world isn't born perfect, the community has take control and get involved. I personally am encouraged by how things have been going in recent times. And it is encouraging to see Frenzy and Rampage and Souless step up to the plate.

Our community gets stronger when we all work together. Perhaps we can all continue to build on this.

Regarding kimp's history, I can bring up all the old threads as I did in one of my previous posts.

Also, in regards to me "failing" the community over Christmas, my moderating style was very VERY close to BA's. In fact, I am/was the only admin to follow closely BA's guidelines. We talked about this last week with BA, you should remember.

From the way I see it, BA is head mod at CRMOD. Not baker, not you mindz, not anyone else. Look at the way BA mod's the server. That is EXACTLY what I did over Christmas.

By saying you disagree with my admin style you're implying that you disagree with BA's. Same goes for failing the community.

Frenzy, don't act all high and mighty like you snubbed kimp from CTF. Kimp has never played CTF and doesn't care to. Kimp kept kimp out of CTF, not your community.

I could make a time line pointing out all the major events and current status of kimp and the current opinion of kimp from those all involved going back two years. It would mostly be for mindz and baker. I think mindz you simply forgot or don't know since you are new to DM, and baker because I think you're a little delusional due to your own kimp issues. Everyone else that's not part of the CAx/DM community probably never new what the real history is, just what they've read or seen on the forum. And static, before you go all saying that we're pro-kimp, all that history would look negative on kimp. It would just show the interaction between the CAx, DM and forum communities and hopefully remind a few of you what you seem to be forgetting.

This is false.

CAx players could do nothing about kimp. At this time I was primary a CAx player. We would end up going to fquick, a server i admin that has never had 1 single kimp problem in its history, to play at because people actually HAD admin there. Nobody but dread and a couple other had admin at speak, and everyone knew admin at speak was worthless. At speak you'd get banned/kicked just because an admin was having a bad day. This WAS a big problem at the time.

We'd play CAx at fquick with zero issues.

At crmod we had vote-admin and used it with GREAT success. Myself and TV were probably the ones who were most voted admin. We never had any issues with games or people getting pissed off.

Now at crmod you have admins that don't even DM and people are getting pissed off.

At least at crmod we had vote-admin. There were no player tools available on CAx servers that gave the PLAYERS the ability to decide.

Authentic, most of the DM'ers don't post on the forum. A large part don't even read the forum.

Frenzy, I CTF 3v3'd a bit last week. My team won and I was top scorer. I gave my typical MVP SO WHAT speach.

Regarding admin, I was offered admin again and declined. That's a non-issue.
