And yes Phenom, I'd of done the same thing you did.Racists of any kind are simply ... uncalled for to say the least. Even moreso in my mind since I've had a mixed child
And foq, seriously, shut the fuck up. All you are ever doing is trying to get a rise out of somebody.
Also don't forget, any Quake folder containing OPENGL32.DLL will fail a security scan, so if you do a fresh install of Quake, make SURE you delete OPENGL32.DLLuake

Reality is that Doug was a wallhacker and when anti-wallhack went into effect, got frustrated and resorted to botting.
And he has posted degenerate racist crap in this forum before.
People change. Sometimes. Eventually.
I think it is fair to say most people are probably inclined to believe he failed the security scan for the reason that the security scan exists.Quakeone.com - Being exactly one-half good and one-half evil has advantages. So while you guys all have to fight your anti-matter counterparts, me and my evil twin will be drinking a beer laughing at you guys ...

What purpose does 3DFX serve in 2011?Oh,someone might be using that hardware? They said they had considered that, and had a fix just in case someone used such ancient hardware,to just let them know. You've over worn your seriousness in this post ;F Doug said he hadn't touched his Quake folder in years. That rules out fresh installation. He's a failed cause, too childish and immature to be wasting time or efforts on.Last edited by Mindf!3ldzX; 05-21-2011, 09:01 PM.Want to get into playing Quake again? As speaknow usually hangs a sec before you get Connection Accepted, it is possible that it started running through the scan before you were initialized but after you were declared a "client". Like I said, the scan is old and out dated but it works 100% on those hacks that were once prevalent.
False positives were once an issue with lagged clients but that has been fixed since 2006. Though, this may have been a small glitch as it's not happening everytime you connect. Certain aspects of a hacked-client/bot are detectable, though a failed scan can also pop up if the server doesnt get a response from the client. Though its scan is pretty intensive. Hacked models are simply not apart of the scan unfortunately; this is where qsecurity.dll was the successor.

I recall Doug doing plenty of trash-talking before anti-wallhack and after anti-wallhack being a victim of the slaughter. And having to resort to a bot.
Add the racist dungfest he's dumped in here on more than just a couple of occasions ... fill in the blanks.Quakeone.com - Being exactly one-half good and one-half evil has advantages. When a portal opens to the antimatter universe, my opposite is just me with a goatee.

Honestly, I haven't had a drink since July of last year.
The topic of this thread was about a failed security scan obviously. I didnt read in detail the chitter-chatter in between, so the "politeness" was just me throwing a watered down explanation of what the QuakeC-security in CAx could do. I had forgotten, like Frenzy stated, that an opengl driver in the quake folder will get you a failed security scan; which is actually not specifically a part of the bot scan code, but most likely the cause of Doug's failure. Might mean he was trying to inject a hack or simply was running from an old installation.

If you have to resort to racial comments in an argument, then you have already lost. You might as well be saying "ya, well, your shit stinks!".

STFU and get back to work!
