R.I.P Brad Moore aka Napalm or Coolbreeze

Wow, I'm stunned to hear this. I just talked to him several days ago and he was telling me about his keyboard issue. I have known Napalm since the old texas.net, mtown cts days. For many many years, I hope this is some kind of mix up, it not it's tragic to say the least.

I always talked a lot of shit to him (just for fun of course), but then I got to know him, and only talked a little shit... hahah.. he always told me to be nice, and he was one of the only people I actually listened to.. I will miss seeing him around, and don't worry Napalm, we will all be gibbin in the sky with ya one day, brother..

You're way off. Brad was only 45 years old and was a past rock N roll prince. He was a self taught guitar maestro from age 14, and was basically out of the business since we have known him here at Q1. He still knows a bunch of millionaire rockers though like Joe Bonamassa, Bruce Hastell who played with Badfinger etc...,

He sat in past years for Heart & other huge groups when they toured nearby in Southern CA when they needed a guitar maestro. Bruce Hastell would come stay with him about 3 times a year: Timeless EP (Joey Molland)

He had also dated Joan Jett in his younger days for a time, something Steve Tyler from Aerosmith wanted but Joan wasn't interested in Tyler.

Brad always talked about a black stripper he had dated for about 2 or 3 years after his asshole ex-girlfriend took his house etc... I think that's when he started going downhill when I met him about 3 years back. But she kept him happy for awhile, don't know if the stripper left him.

We used to stay up till 5:00am EST with Yugo & quakeNbake playing Shmack runequake. Sometimes aaa too, when he worked on RQ clan heh. Always had funny way about his lines. Brad would say "brb gotta get a refill on rum N coke," then he would leave his 3 or 4 frags for a several minutes. He just wanted to hang out and blow off some stress and try to learn how to move like the faster players.

Everybody for the most part wrote him off or left him. You had to be there awhile to let him grow on you. He was a good soul who only wanted to be in the middle of the pack, but no one did as much as they could to help get him there. He was except when he started shit with Gayborn. He let that go in last year and half when he thought it hurt clay too much. He mailed me an Antec power supply once when I emailed him back on my laptop on why I wasn't hanging out. I asked him on 3 occasions if I could pay him back. He said "no bro that was a gift."

He was teaching a young kid guitar lessons in last several months & he said the kid was better them him when he was that age. He passed his niche talent on to others, even though I think a lot of guys here blew him off on configs and Scrag CTF games. I know I did on more than one occasion and I'm sorry for that now, but I have 2 teenagers and needed the sleep at 4:00 am.

I'll post pics if I can. I have a lot of our games & conversations too about $hit4brains, yugo, and his feelings about _tu clan, heh. He missed quakeNbake alot I do know that. But yugo brought him the most fun. Yugo and SaToon were his bros back in the day. No friends in quake.

Wow, ya know sometimes we get all competitive and with our game-face on etc.. I spent many hours trying to help Brad get his game configured etc. and it just seemed like it was going in one ear and out the other. Little did I know that he was battling more problems in real-life. He really was a nice guy, and all he wanted to do was just hang out and chill with us like the old days.

Like I said you had to be online awhile for him to grow on you. He knew some of the best rock N rollers in the business and that was where his niche was, but he was just a regular guy who liked Q1 and rum.

Sad day ,

When I read this I was blown away speechless and sad at the same time.
I chatted with him last week .............

Couple of weeks ago he send me a pm just to say he was back from a 4day trip to Vegas and he miss playing quake.
Also said that his name now was Napalm on quakeone forum instead of coolbreeze.

When I chatted with him about my other hobby playing guitar he was very interested and told me that he played on
Les Paul Gibson guitar on a marchal amp just like I do.
I was planning to send him some demo's of music that I was working on but its toolate now

He often played with us at Euroquake and Flanders (like 3-4 times a week) and never complained
about his high pings 170-180.
I have so often helped him with his settings and taught him tricks to improve his game and he was
always eager to learn.
Himself was even teaching his little 12 year old nephew to play quake , his name is Lilhunter and he played in FFA8 fun tournament.
Lets hope Lilhunter will stick around.

Napalm was an example for many other players on this quake community ,
always kind and respectful towards other players.
Never did he talked trash to people !

I will miss you Napalm !!!

I'd also like to get a hold of the demo from this game to have some clips of Napalm in action to remember him by. The only one I have is the one crow provided, which is a chasecam of me only for the whole game (very boring!).

I'm pretty sure the match we're looking for was played on Sunday, 3/27/11.

Napalm played with Rambo and me in a first game of the night near the end of the season. It was on CTF1, against R00k, lunb0t & disco.
