O.k I get it. NIN did the soundtrack for quake, but give me a break!! It's been 10 years now and I don't need to beat my ears to a bloody pulp while getting my frag on. Anyone else feel the same way? If so..whats in your playlist?

    CCR
    RUSH
    FRANK SINATRA

I don't listen to music when I'm playing quake, but when I'm playing FVF or RocketGuy's Rquake mod, I like to just chill out and listen to some music, because you don't really need sound in a co-op game.

I listen to the Quake soundtrack (oggs in quakemusic.pk3 loaded by DarkPlaces) because I dont think it beats my ears to a bloody pulp, it merely amplifies the mood, especially considering it was composed for the id maps in the first place and its not overbearing or distracting. It is Quake

I'm more of a fan of classic rock but when I'm Quaking I need to listen to TOOL / NIN / RATM
This body holding me,reminds me of my own mortality.

Because, those are the bands I listen to when I'm at FVF or RQUAKE. Sorry I didn't explain myself clearer, Mindz dood. The Monster cannot help that he is stoopid.

You mean the vocalist?? Yeah he does some pretty bloody screams but, if you want more of that crazy screaming shit, check out OBITUARY. Their vocalist sounds liek Chuck of Death except like 10x more brutal...

No music, ever. In all the games I've ever played, I've tured that feature off. It's more of a distraction for me.

I like to get into the ambience of a game.

I will find you... it's only a matter of time.

Grim - Have you heard the Quake music? Only mildly does it use music as a basis... its really just more sounds. When I first played without the cd I was astonished at how few ambient sound entities there were... turns out it was the cd I was hearing. Quake's music is the ambience. Literally in terms of the cd, and figuratively as that is the world.
