I was just fuckin with u Monster.

You've been less irritating to me lately , Thanks a bunch.
It's nice to Quake against you or be around you,and not immediately be Uber-Annoyed.

Some players might find myself annoying , if so ,I'll do better at Not-Annoying

Good, I've been trying not to brag about "my power". Canadian Sniper has taught me a valuable lesson. heh

No I haven't. I really never gave it a second thought.

Grim - It is as much music as the ogre scraping his chainsaw while patrolling is, or a fiend quietly growling. You get the idea. It is sweeping tones and textures with layered sounds. Good stuff. The Wizard's Manse is creepy as hell with it.

When I get a chance, I will check this out. Thanks for the heads up.

Back in the day when games was just coming out, you could listen to what they called music. It was typically a snippet of a recording that was looped to playback the same thing over and over again. It's like water torture. From that point on, the first thing I would do was to disable all music. It's habit now.

The game I'm into now, World of Warcraft, has different music for every zone, music for different encounters/fighting and so forth. I've never heard them. The only reeason I know this is because a friend of mine plays this game as well and he brags on how good it is. I've never gotten the urge to turn it on. I keep thinking back and then I change my mind.

I will find you... it's only a matter of time.

Unfortunatly, I had to dl my quake...so I do not have the musics!!
Can I dl it and put it in the quake directorys somehow?

that would be sweet. IF anyone knows how to do that, please tell me. If I want to listen to the Quake music I either have to play it on iTunes or put in the CD (make the 1st track blank as it's never played). It's better to use the CD so the music sinks with the level actions.

I barely ever use the music with quake. I'll have to try it, since scar3crow believes that it is so "evil". I have a QUAKE cd that I bought used from EB Games about a year ago, I've only used it like twice ever. Hopefully there won't be many skips in the music.

                        Aw come on
You must be old. Music was annoying in the days of... maybe King's Quest, or Prince of Persia. But it's been mostly fine for at least a decade now.

I guess you could say that.

Yes, King's Quest was one... I guess I'm busted.

Monster's got it down. Metal is the way it should be played. Nothing says "I wanna kill" like Metal. Anyways, here's my list of fragging music:

                            American Head Charge
                            Arch Enemy
                            At The Gates
                            Cradle of Filth
                            Dark Tranquility
                            DevilDriver
                            Dimmu Borgir
                            In Flames
                            (old) Korn
                            Marilyn Manson
                            (old) Metallica
                            Mudvayne
                            Nine Inch Nails
                            The Offspring
                            Rammstein
                            Rob Zombie
                            Slipknot (self-titled and Vol.3 generally)
                            Static-X
                            (old) System of a Down
                            (select) Tool
                            White Zombie
                            Zeromancer

That's all I can come up with that I frag to... at least from my iPod.

I keep the defaults for Quake, nothing is better than the original works for Single Player. The music fits the levels perfectly. Adds to it.
The mission packs music - I keep but even with those I've replaced them with Trents tracks - obviously in a different order so the theme of the tracks match the levels.

When I do play DM though - which is RARE - nothing beats Sascha "Buzzfunk" Dikiciyan's (aka Sonic Mayhem - one who did Q2's soundtrack) musical addon for Q1 - Methods of Destruction
