        love kleshik myself too, and would love to be able to play it together with peoples some time.

        so far have only been able to play it offline sp. still fun though but would be awesome in coop with peoples

        did you modify that kleshik version you uploaded to quaketastic?
        and also, why is it version 1.21? cuz theres already a 1.3 version uploaded to quaketastic too

              Yeah that's my bad.... There was some confusion because after a certain point the author stopped labeling the version numbers some time ago, so the newer version is actually labeled by the revision number on sourceforge as opposed to the version number, which is a higher number.
              Worse case scenerio is if someone snags the older version 1.3, they can just go the update folder and get the updatekleshik.bat will bring them to the latest version, as well as download any missing files.

                Wow, that's the weirdest install ive ever seen.

                -oh! but back on topic, lets see. My dream quake mod??

                Software engine on steroids, blood/bullet decals, (basically qbism, so we got that covered)

                New assets designed to match stock graphics/models style. (im very oldskool)

                Each weapon (1- is actually a weapon slot. various shotgun/supershotgun/nail/sng/etc class weapons with different attributes.

                mild rpg/sruvival mechanics. lower health = worse aim, slower running. eating/drinking things to stay alive (including water, pure = best, stagnant = ehh, if health low enough eat gibs) maybe even potions

                able to use any weapon an enemy carries. grunt shotgun/enforcer blaster/ ogre grenade launcher, maybe some are one-time use?

                slightly randomized enemies or enemy classes.

                human sacrifice

                as players acquire runes they slowly become more godlike, culminating in the death of shub niggurath. As she dies, the player mutates into the new reigning elder god and rules over the realm of Quake for eons to come. Thus completing the circle.

                    Dr.Shadowborg wrote a tutorial how to do this and OoPpEe did a mod with several weapons in each slot (mainly using Qtest and mission pack weapons).

                    gnounc did that as far as I know and many other things that goes in that direction. Contact him to try his wonderful mod.

                        I would love to see something like dmsp that utilizes all of the enemies and could be used for any level set. Including the expansion pack enemies/weapons and levels. Quoth would be great too.

                        Aside from that, an arcade style mod would be great too. Not a side scroller mod, but a mod that adds a point system, in-game high score screen, and a lives system/perma-death.

                        Or a first person hockey mod! (off-sides rule taken into account of course to avoid goal camping. )

                              What about a pacman mod?

                              floating bullets could be the average dots and a gun to fire them would represent the power pellets. The AI could be revamped to hunt (with a kind of "we know where you are" system).

                              I'm torn between a standard time limit to attack after "eating a power pellet" (like pacman) or just dumping not enough bullets into the board. Maybe the latter and to balance it out you get points for all your remaining bullets. This would of course deter killing and promote running, so maybe the other way is better

                              create a splash screen that emulates the pacman one but Quaked. Like the 1 player button can have a shambler {RAWG} instead of the {ba-boink}

                              as the levels increase the standard pellets become better bullets and the power pellets become better guns and you move up a notch on the monster chain

                              dog & grunt
                              grunt & ogre
                              ogre & enforcer
                              enforcer & wizard
                              wizard & demon
                              demon & shambler
                              shambler & vore

                              somethin like that, or maybe 3 types per map would be better

                              I left out zombies cause they don't move a whole lot and obviously a rotfish would be equally useless.


                              maybe the board could even be heavily laden with traps or something, giving quake man something to watch out for but also giving him something to use as a weapon if he can draw the "ghosts" into it.

                              x amount of players are the ghosts and 1 player is Quakeman....totally the same game as I stated above otherwise.

                                I have an idea for you... You should attach a cheetah to a zombie... (Then a zombie would move very quickly!) lol I have another idea... You should attach a rocket to a rotfish. The rotfish would move so quickly that even Sonic would be impressed! No, I'm serious! It's good to be creative.
