I love "Generations" for Quake 3.

I've love to have a "All Quake" mod.
Every weapon from Quake 1 + Expansions
    Every weapon from Quake II
Every weapon from Quake III + Expansions
    Every weapon from Quake Wars
    Every weapon from Quake 4

have the pickups randomly swap between their various different versions each time they respawn after pickup (they will share ammo though - Q1 RL gets same ammo as Q3's).

Then have Team Wars where each team gets weapons from their games.

      Hello Amon26,

I think you should post questions directly in gnouncs mod thread.
As far as I remember ceriux also had issues at first try, but then Spike and gnounc helped him.
So they surely will help you too.

      Hello OoPpEe,

well, you got it all in your hands my friend. Your skills are very good and you will be able to do this.
Problem are the models itself, they would have to be remade from scratch due to legal reasons.
But as you know, all Q1 and Q2 weapons have been recreated already. Q3 maybe in generations. Q4 I do not know.
The qc base you already have done yourself in your unnamed mod.
So it should be very doable for you.
....but imagine how many weapons that would be and you would have to scroll a lot.

      Best wishes,
      Seven

Me too, I would really like to have an "All Quake" mod. Speaking of Generations from Quake 3, do you know where I could download this mod? I tried to search for Generations but I couldn't really find it.

Once, i won a hammerhead controller that had force feedback, i tried to play with it in quake but it truly sucked donkey balls.

I cannot see how people use those things for gaming.

Though, a rumble pack for quake DOES sound familiar... maybe someone has done this in the past..

I'm a single-player gamer, so the best mod I could imagine for me would simply be the most atmospheric SP campaign possible. And it has to be available for old softwaremode Quake, no features that require an updated client.

I'd imagine something like Tim Burton or McGee's Alice meets Quake, that would be great.

And it needs to have DMSP mod included.

Or maybe a more playable version of Half-Quake.

The worst thing I can be is the same as everybody else. I hate that.

I'd play more Quake if there was more stuff to do - especially more interaction besides just shooting things.

I like the shooting, but I get quickly bored of it since it's rather repetitive.

Keep the shooting for people who like it, but add more possibilities for exploration, platforming, and stuff like trading.

Also, more and more interesting weapons. And Lovecraftian tomes full of forbidden magic. And collecting trophies and achievements to keep the motivation up.

Oh, and mini dungeons full of great and unique gear, such as Diablo 1's Chamber of Bones etc., that you could visit whenever you want a real challenge.

Just more stuff to do would be great.

                  Hello gb,

I can read between your lines that you should try a good role-playing game.
... hundreds of collectable things (motivation)
                  ... dungeons with challenges
... not only stupid killing all the time (magic)
... more interactions, exploration, platforming and trading

There are games I would like to suggest you, but you surely already played them all

Then on the other side, I sometimes wonder why you are working on a sci-fi ambience game, when your heart is longing for fantasy ambience ?
But I guess you have good reasons and fantasy is only when it comes to Quake.

                    Hello Seven.

You're right, some of the things I suggested are reminescent of RPGs. And I do like to play them.

But most RPGs don't have the combat of a real shooter game such as Quake.

A mod has a little bit of freedom - so why not include some more rewards for exploration than just another pack of shells?

I'm not talking about removing the combat of Quake - I'm talking about adding optional things around the combat that the player can do when he wants. Kill things for half an hour, then do something else for a while, in the same game. Then kill some more.

You see, the killing remains unchanged.

That does not automatically make it an RPG. It just makes it a shooter with a little extra.

Scout's Journey, btw, might come across as sci-fi from the military base level screenshots, but that's just one of five locations.
