Not many player's can walk into a game of RQ and be down 30 frags and end up with 50 in no time. I can do it, mindz can do it, and a few other's can do it. I dont even use the runes that i pickup. I just frag away old school style.

I agree !! but...
Thats where all the challenge in it lies for me, I try to stick to basic strength or resistance type runes. The only trap runes I really mess with is fire, and not that often... Yes i hate getting stuck in ice or glue whatever, but it makes u remember not to go into those rooms. But overall yes, trap runes are garbage...

...seeing as how lamers will vote for those three maps constantly and never play anything else (sound familiar, TDMers?), this might be why I never play Quake anymore.

Ill play any map.. And yes dm3 gets very very boring just like ztndm3, ultrav.. TDM players do not like playing maps they dont know very well, been this way for years. Anytime u want to play another map ill play if availible. I enjoy EM & custom maps.

If you play the same 1 map over and over and never bother to learn the ins and outs of the dozens of other maps, then you will always be a weak, inferior player.

It honestly takes more than just saying "RuneQuake sucks" to make it sound less like "RuneQuake sux because I suck at it" , which is what 99% of players sound like when they hate on RuneQuake.

DeathKnight was a refreshingly decent new player. I'm not saying you'd mistake him for a hardcore DM player, but you couldn't treat him lightly.

(I kinda thought that initially ... who's this new guy? *fragged* Alright, I'm going to keep an eye on this guy.)

im not talking shit to Death-Knight, im talking shit to TDM / CAx / CTF / RA / FFA players who insist that

1]RuneQuake is for Newbs
2]Only newbs play RuneQuake

because

a]Only 5% of the players who claim RuneQuake sucks can beat it.
b]95% of quakers who claim RuneQuake sucks,just plainly,suck at it.



Just so we understand that message im conveying. I'm agreeing with him & pushing the concept of If you claim RuneQuake sucks, there is a 95% chance you suck at it, and I enjoy mocking people who talk shit about RuneQuake (I'm a IHOC/CTF player from oldest-days ago Quake history,with Runes).
