Posts and threads here are open-ended for general discussion, so there isn't a way to do that. They auto-lock after 1 year of inactivity.

I could close the thread manually, but then where would someone post comments on a video they see on the front page?

If you like, I could move your first post to another thread and close it?
Quakeone.com - Being exactly one-half good and one-half evil has advantages. When a portal opens to the antimatter universe, my opposite is just me with a goatee.

So while you guys all have to fight your anti-matter counterparts, me and my evil twin will be drinking a beer laughing at you guys ...

I think I've seen that thread. It said something about removing something to do with model "write" functions and fixing up shaders or maybe animations.

      I'm not a model hacker, so I wouldn't know

Well, I'd honestly just like to keep the thread in it's home. Maybe further discussion may occur in the near future.

I have a copy of Quake Pre-Release for a long time now. I think I get my hands around it in 1998 or 7. But it was only in 2007 that I realize that I had a different copy of the game. You can see the original discussion I had about it in the qw.nu's forums and download the models and maps I re-uploaded.

Pre-Release Maps - Maps were converted and now can be played on regular NQ and QW clients.

Q1 Test Models - also converted

            have fun!
